How on earth has that happened? Who would have thought that Pears would be our No1 keeper? I think he's better than TK. Quote

philipl Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Liverpool is a ridiculously small place to have two top PL Clubs. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) Liverpool are a club full of UK and foreign glory hunters, they don’t need the city itself to fill their ground. Everton get their support from across Merseyside and north Wales (population of 2 million). Like Manchester, it’s just a case of city council boundaries being tightly drawn, they have huge catchment areas and support bases. Edited April 1, 2023 by Mattyblue 2 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted April 1, 2023 Author Posted April 1, 2023 Good to see Man City beating Liverpool. Liverpool need a mini overhaul and some new players in centre midfield like Bellingham from Dortmund and McAllister from Brighton 15 hours ago, 47er said: Everton survival in doubt if relegated: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/mar/31/evertons-survival-in-doubt-if-relegated-from-the-premier-league those losses are mouth watering and just shows how much of a mess they have been in over the last few seasons with spending money after money with no clear transfer plan or stability in the manager/head coach seat. If they go down then there is only one man to blame Quote

Mattyblue Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) Nobody despises the glory hunting hordes more than me (pathetic individuals who are trying to get some reflected glory in their sad little lives), but due to said millions of plastics across this country it’s not exactly a surprise that LFC can fill their ground even from a ‘small’ city, is it… Edited April 1, 2023 by Mattyblue 3 Quote

Hate it when people bring the uk word into football. Also the only reason the Welsh support united or Liverpool is because they think they have some god given right because giggs rush Hughes played for them both even though they are in a different country. Just something I had to get off my chest as its a real pet peev Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) UK is entirely appropriate in this context as there are a shed load of LFC glory hunters in Wales and NI. Edited April 1, 2023 by Mattyblue 4 Quote

Miker Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Unbelievably tight at the bottom in the PL this season. Bottom 8 separated by just 4 points. Has the relegation race ever been so close? 1 Quote

Hasta Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Exciting Premier League season. 9 clubs in relegation danger. A genuine title race. Man U, Spuds and Newcastle battling for 2 CL places. Brentford and Brighton above Liverpool chasing Europe. And yet we’ve got Chelsea V Villa on Sky this evening. It’s possibly the only fixture possible in the entire Premier League that’s a dead rubber. 🙄🙄 2 Quote

roversfan99 Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 That Brighton and Brentford stood out looking at the fixtures and I would have watched that had it not been for the rarity of Rovers playing at 3pm on a Saturday. Quote

Not to their fans, but it’s hardly attractive viewing for the rest of us. “Ooh, which team might get into the Europa conference league.” I’ve sat down, put the tv on, seen what game it is and turned it back off. Other than either of those teams playing Fulham, I couldn’t think of a more drab fixture with the league as it currently stands. Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Though, quite enjoyable seeing a club that has spent half a billion quid in two windows toil like this. Quote

davulsukur Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Chelsea need to bin Potter asap. He's just another manager that works wonders at a small club but can't cut it at the top level. 0-2 down at home to Villa 2 Quote
