bazza Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 If I were a Saints fan I would be fuming at this appointment. I think they'll get relegated now. 1 Quote

superniko Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Southamptons appointment reminded me of this beauty….I always get great joy reading the comments back at when they sacked Adkins and got in Pochettino, well worth reading the replies… Quote
Backroom DE. Posted November 10, 2022 Backroom Posted November 10, 2022 Big risk for Jones in a lot of ways as well. One he had to take, obviously, but after bombing so hard at Stoke it would be very damaging to his reputation to bomb again as soon as he's outside of the familiar surroundings of Luton. 3 Quote
Upside Down Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 When opportunities present themselves in life you have to take them. It's a gamble from both parties but sometimes that's what you have to do. Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Of course he has to take it. Personally don’t think it will work out, him and Luton just seem well matched, but he will want to back his ability and test himself at the highest level. But even if he tanks he’ll be set up for life as he’s been given a three and a half year deal at a PL club. 1 Quote

I would stick with Lampard and I think Everton will. They need stability and not keep swapping managers every season Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 They cannot afford to get relegated when in the midst of building a new ground, so if there’s a chance they might, he’ll be potted. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 I don't think Everton will get relegated anyway with Lampard in charge. Some very good quality players there. I would say will finish between 10th and 13th Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Villa are reputedly looking to sign an “ A List Striker “ in January. Is BBD an “ A List Striker “ or a “ B List Striker “ ? Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Good job they have some decent players as ‘Lamps’ himself ain’t going to be a differentiator… 2 Quote

Calvert-Lewin is out again for who knows how long. Without him they find goals hard to come by. Tarkowski and Coady at the back, with Pickford in goal will keep them safe. Quote

Rovers won't be selling BBD in January in my opinion. 26 minutes ago, Mattyblue said: Good job they have some decent players as ‘Lamps’ himself ain’t going to be a differentiator… Down to opinion but I would Lampard has been differentiator there already in my view. Plus he can attract good quality players like Coady, Tarkowski, Maupay, McNeil, etc. Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Why would Everton not been able to attract relegated Burnley players, a player from Wolves who had fallen out with his manager and a Brighton player otherwise? Edited November 11, 2022 by Mattyblue 1 Quote

I always like Lampard as a player. On Everton, I think they have enough quality players to reach 10th to 13th positions this season. 29 minutes ago, Mattyblue said: Why would Everton not been able to attract relegated Burnley players, a player from Wolves who had fallen out with his manager and a Brighton player otherwise? islander200 Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Brererton only has to wait 6 months and then he can choose himself which club to join. Brererton would be daft signing for a relegation threatened club in January.Could end up back in the championship after only a few months. Don't believe we would accept £10 million for Brererton if our league position is as healthy come January m Quote

Check out the transfer link below for previous transfers: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/everton-fc/transfers/verein/29/saison_id/2020 Big players coming into Everton including from Real and Napoli. That shows that they could attract talent without Lampard. 1 Quote
BigBar Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 (edited) Brentford in front at City and have been exceptional. Could have had 2 or 3 in the first 15 mins. Edited November 12, 2022 by BigBar Quote
superniko Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 I’d honestly think Lampard would have the opposite affect on a player. They would be less likely to want to play for Everton with him there. Quote
roverandout Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 James maddison off with an injury. Had to happen. Typical English disease. Fifa shouldn't be allowing matched to go ahead a week before the world cup. Madness Quote
