That being said, I refuse to believe that there is no willing manager in world football that couldnt improve on the terrible results that would have led to relegation under Marsch.

Leeds have been turned down by 5 managers/head coaches now for that job.

I think Leeds panicked , when Dyche went to Everton and subsequently beat Arsenal.. Southampton and Bournemouth are probably gone already  , Everton were too ...

Possibly Leeds were going to change and appoint Dyche but were beaten to it ?

Nathan Jones is a better manager than Tomasson as anyone who went to the Luton away match would testify. We were flying high at the time so the first half was cagey as Jones and Luton had a look at us

First 20 minutes of the second half Luton applied sustained pressure and our defence duly crumbled. Luton shut up shop and the game was over

Jones will walk into another Championship job

He was given an open cheque book at Stoke, signed TEN new players he wanted and failed miserably.

I wouldn't want him personally.

JDT whilst I'm not his biggest fan, has had to wee with the willy he's got and it's a 2 inch pecker unfortunately for him.

Jones irrationally winds me up like no other in football.

It's his nail biting and finger sucking that gets to me, can't stand the disgusting habit.

Soton made the wrong choice in appointing him and maybe he made the wrong choice in going to the PL with Soton, his bank manager will disagree, in disarray.

You can chalk up that up to his ADHD, which is definitely irritating, but maybe just how he reacts to stress...

It's his chest-pumping and peacocking after wins that drives me nuts, acting as if he was the one out there making tackles for 90min... plus his success at Luton (fair enough) has given him an odd arrogance.

In their almost dire predicament Southampton could do a lot worse than appointing Sam Allardyce but some of their more snobbish fans would be dead set against it. At least with Allardyce you have a fighting chance of avoiding the drop. Personally I hope them and Bournemouth stay up only to cut the mileage down for away travel next season particularly if Ipswich and Plymouth come up.

I have to admit that I've never listened or watched him in any pre or post match interviews.

Begrudgingly I did admire how he always had Luton up for a fight and how he made Amari Bell into a decent player at Championship level.

Meanwhile he gets a big payoff for 3 months of league failure and possibly bad enough to relegate Southampton.

If they have a working brain cell they are on to Big Sam already.

Said it with Huddersfield - when you can't win with a man and goal advantage against relegation rivals you know the team isn't in a good place. Southampton did one worse and lost said game.

Pretty sure that Jones comments about the panderijg to the players has backfired. Think the team are glad to get rid of him too.

It was strange appointment in the first place by Southampton and why they even looked at him in the first place. I wonder who next they will go for.

Yeah strange.

Maybe his enthusiasm on the touch line and the fact he was manager of the season last year but didn't get promotion hit a note with Southampton board. Imagine that premiership teams/players on higher pay can be a difficult management obstacle especially when manager arrives part way as a firefighter. They needed someone with premiership experience not just someone who impressed.

Bielsa is up there with bookies but I'd go for Big Sam.

Bielsa doesn't take over at clubs during the season. never has never will.

Sam Allardyce coming back again in football at the age of 67 I don't see. I expected a left field appointment myself.
