It's always a good day when the red scum get beat. Especially when they get bummed completely.

They once got beat 6-2 at Newcastle. Headline in that nights Manchester Evening  News “ Football Pink “ - “ Reds In Eight Goal Thriller “. It’s like playing Wales at Rugby Union, you don’t beat them, you just score more points ( goals ) than them !

Not that any United player was fitting of wearing an armband today, but one of them should have marched up to him on the pitch and demanded he hand it over. Shane Duffy excluded, I've never seen a player so obviously give up during a game.

Disgraceful diving (nothing new), having the ball knocked past him and literally walking whilst his team mates spring past him, shoving the linesman and waving in protest at not being subbed when 6-0 down. I've never seen anything like it.

Yeah, you would hope that there was at least one Utd player on the pitch that had at least a shred of pride left, enough to at least be demanding more from their captain or, as you say, taking the armband off him.

Looks like Gary has backed out of MNF tonight. Very poor if true. If your job is dishing out the criticism on a regular basis, you can't run and hide when it's time to take your medicine. Genuinely think he'll struggle to live this down. Particularly after the roasting he got from Souness yesterday.

He's such a poor pundit IMO. He has zero knowledge outside of British football too; some of his world cup takes on the likes of Messi and Di Maria were just laughable.

Don't mind him as a pundit tbh. Speaks his mind and not afraid to take the flack for it. Wish more had the balls to do that.

But he's lost the plot here. We all know he can be a little blinkered when it comes to Man Utd, (i.e. his support for Solskjaer when it was blatantly obvious he needed to go), but to chicken out and not face the music tonight is a real low.

He's gone down massively in my estimation.

Don't forget his stint managing Valencia. What a disaster that was.

3rd division Bournemouth (😂) just turned Liverpool over, superb result.

But I have to report, Liverpool have just announced that the side never turned up in support of Gary Lineker.

Liverpool performed like we did last night, lethargic and making mistake after mistake. And just like ourselves, they were on a great run after beating United comprehensively.

How often do teams on a very good run get ahead of themselves and think they just have to turn up the following week?

I didn't know Jason Steele was playing for Brighton

He has replaced Sanchez as number 1 there now. I don't know why he has been dropped

The PL is mental this year - everyone from Crystal Palace (12th) down could get relegated. 9 teams are involved in a relegation battle in March.

Add on how many teams are still pushing for the play offs,  there’s probably around 16 clubs who have no idea if they’ll be in the premier league or championship next season.
