good to see they’re backing their man…

If they throw the linesman under the bus then a very large can of worms will be opened. Players will feel they will have been given Carte Blanche to manhandle referees and I can see many officials at grass roots throwing in the towel.
Robertson grabbed the linesman’s arm and he shrugged him away. I hope Robertson is given a retrospective red card. I’m actually surprised that he didn’t roll around on the floor.

I cannot speak lowly enough of Robertson

We finished 6th and qualified for Europe in his one full season (after being in a relegation battle the year before).

Yes, we fell away from a possible title challenge, yes he was right to have been sacked the following season. But he obviously wasn’t ‘’awful’.

He signed more really expensive shite than any other manager we’ve ever had. Only Henchoz was a success.

Leicester City seem to only want to offer a contract till end of the season. Then reassess depending what league they are in. Seemed very few managers want to take that sort of contract on.

What I don't get is the planning before sacking a manager make sure you got one line up to come in. Leicester didn't which surprised me.

It does seem to happen a lot these days (clubs sacking managers with no replacement lined up) and a lot just go with some of the current coaching staff for the time being or till the end of the season.

Leicester hiring someone only on a short term deal "to see what league they're in" is also quite strange. They are 19th but they aren't cut adrift. Leeds and Bournemouth aren't particularly great and could be caught, surely they go and get the best possible manager they can to keep them up.

Not sure Dean Smith is that guy either. Feels like they've already accepted relegation.

Cheap option for Leicester, things clearly aren't right behind the scenes. I know they weren't full strength against us but it was far easier than it should have been.

Nice easy start for Smith, the small matter of Man City to contend with 😳

That's a good game to start with though really. Its basically a free shot.

I think Leicester want Potter long term from the media reports I have read and Potter won't return to Football until the summer. So They could have left Rodgers in charge for rest of the season. but they sacked him.

Yes plenty of clubs at all clubs seem to sack a manager/head coach with no proper plan in place, but some clubs do have a plan in place like Brighton when Potter left, they went for De Zebri who was their first choice.

Red card my arse.  He puts his hand on him and he goes down likes he's been shot

Unsure if the England blinkers are on again but Rodrygo was in on goal and would have probably scored. Chilwell was caught out of position and to grab the forward was idiotic.

It was cucurella who was caught out of position that put him in this situation.  Koulibaly was marshaling that backline perfectly till his injury.  No its not my blinkers. It appears all real's Brazilians seem to go down at the slightest touch

Either way, by putting a hand on Rodrygo's shoulder, he was asking for trouble and he has sold his team mates down the river.

Real Madrid tend to turn up when they need to and have played with the handbrake on tonight. Would be a good game.

It would but I think city would work their way around kroos and modric easily.  Great players but they won't have the pace to keep up with city's midfield the way they play through the opposition

Modric and Kroos play games at their own pace and they have 3 much younger, top class midfielders.
