With Burnley's promotion each Premier league team receives an extra 2Million quid each next season for 2nd year parachute payments they don't need.. This will increase to 4M if Sheff U go up and 6M if Norwich won the playoffs.

Surely it would make things more competitive if that money was spread around the EFL. You never know it might even save a club from going bust.

That's true but what did our wonderful owners do with our parachute payments?

Kept Kean on , thus squandering it all..On Portuguese players with dodgy deals ....

And Best, Murphy and Etuhu.

I wonder just how much them three stooges cost us.

Anyone watch any of the Millwall v Luton game? Absolutely appalling. Not even bog standard Championship game, more like the games you see in local league.

And yet these 2 teams are above us!

The standard in general is piss poor really. You look through some of the players on show for both sides and it shows why a play off push is not quite the potentially incredible achievement that some make out, even allowing for question marks within our own team.

I think “ Up side Down “ was being sarcastic. I’d swap places with Bolton tomorrow.

Not going to lie. I'd gladly spend a couple of years in League one if it meant getting rid of venkys.

I hink Amari Bell illustrates that very well. How come Luton are virtually a certainty to play in the play-offs with Bell their regular full-back but he's not good enough to play for us---- and we're not?!!

They also had owners at the time, with rather questionable motives.

He was never played in his rightful position.  Mogadon had a problem with him and Ryan...wonder what that could have been

Bolton have made an extra 1600 tickets available to home fans in the normal away end today. They have already sold 12.000 season tickets for next season and are averaging 18.500 in League 1 and playing good football apparently. I would swap places.

Price, price, price. £219 a season ticket, our half STs cost more.

We won’t be selling anywhere near Bolton’s amounts (even with a mighty twenty quid reduction for next season).

Yes, just had a look at the pricing, goes from £219 to the most expensive of £309 to a new applicant in the top tiers. still £70 less than our cheapest ! Fantastic . astute pricing. The £20 reduction won't make a dent really if you want to attract significantly more.

There is some real perspective in there my friend. Rovers were boasting on social media about the attendance of 18500 on Friday and yet that is Bolton's average crowd.

I'll bet my bottom dollar though that their Chief Exec doesn't earn as much as Swag.

What do you think it was? Or are you just making a grubby insinuation?

Price and population. But mainly price.

Ah, didn't you hear what Mogadon said to the "london" boys.....?  Subtle racism..can't be arsed going back, someone on here will remember better than me....someone's dad took offence at Old Mogadon and his attitude towards tattooed lads from london

Us and Bolton have always matched up generally gates wise… until the last couple of years.

Yes, Bolton Borough has a bigger population than BwD, but certain parts of their borough are Man Utd strongholds. Plus, a load of our fanbase have historically (and now increasingly) resided across plenty of other Lancashire boroughs. So it’s not simply a case of ‘bigger population’.

(Same when the Dingles try and pretend they are getting 20k from the town of Burnley when in reality their fanbase stretches from Hyndburn across to West Yorkshire).

Bolton far from assured of a League 1 play off place.

Are you sure about this?
