You said that it is "quite amazing that we are still in with a chance" which is what I disagreed with. Our squad is nothing special but compared to our direct rivals for the play offs, we are not noticeably if at all inferior in quality to those squads.

Well we've disagreed about that before.

I think we're at least three first team players away from being genuine promotion candidates and beyond that need more depth in areas. The difference this season is having an ambitious manager and for me he's done an excellent job with relatively little backing. January was a travesty, players continue to deliver inconsistent performances, goalscorers contrinue to misfire, but yet we're still in the play off spots.

I rarely follow other teams progress but at a guess, I'd say they are in the same position because they have decent managers too, excluding the parachute payment teams.

Is it not difficult to gauge where we should be without tracking the progress of the teams around us?

Well I can see the league table, but I don't watch every other teams matches as religiously as I do Rovers because I simply don't have the time. As I watch Rovers weekly, sometimes twice weekly, I think I know the players pretty well and combined with the knowledge that we don't score enough goals, and have suffered from inept recruitment, I think it's quite amazing we're still in with a chance.

In today’s Times they are reporting that the EFL have picked Sky as the preferred bidder for the next broadcasting deal.

Let’s hope they get it done and the potential collective club suicide of accepting the DAZN proposal is forgotten about.

Confirmation that Reading have now been deducted six points which leaves them precariously close to the bottom three. I hope they go down. It's a horrible, soulless stadium with few amenities in the surrounding area and awful car parking.

Potentially good news for us - since they have games with Luton, Coventry and PNE before the season ends.

Hopefully this can fire them up enough to grind a couple of results in those games.

Highly unlikely though... they're absolutely shite these days.

Good point but I'll give you one name - Paul Ince 😂😂

Reading has got what they deserved for breaking the rules. No sympathy for them.

Also pleased that EFL has rejected the DAZN offer of streaming every EFL game and gone with what they know and trust in Sky Sports.

The sheer number of games moved from Sat 3pm this season is unprecedented. I struggle to make games outside of 3pm Sat due to caring responsibilities. There is no longer an incentive for me to buy a ST.

Sky now control when I can watch Rovers at Ewood.

I hope Reading go down - I've been 4 times and we've lost every time. Plus, Paul Ince is the manager, and we all remember his glorious reign at Ewood

Disagree about parking at Reading though. There's some business units just a 5 minute walk from the ground which have free parking on match days - alot of Reading fans go there. And Reading is always a place where you can just turn up and pay.

But I won't miss going there

I can fully understand your points about caring responsibilities cos I have similar responsibilities at my home.

Be the first time in a while since I’ve wanted Luton to win, but I’d rather that than a draw against Millwall today.
