I loved it when we moved the towels last time they were here. It's absolute bollocks - you shouldn't be allowed to do it at your own ground, but there's no way I'd stand for it at mine. I'd get into a fight if needs be. 3 Quote

I can’t remember who we played last season(could have been WBA), but we were trailing and the towel bullshit really slowed the game down. Tyler Magloire’s finest moments were running around at half time and throwing the towels into the stand 10 Quote

If we were winning last 10 minutes, I'd throw about 10 towels all around the pitch, and I'd wipe the ball at every throw in and goal kick. Let's see how that goes down. 5 Quote

Ricky Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 West Brom looked very good tonight. Bit surprised that we are the only team to have not dropped any points after 2 games. Quote

In the long run they've got way more depth and quality than we have. At the weekend - I think we'll give them a game. On an unrelated note, Steve Bruce does not look a well man. Quote

He's looked like that most of his career including when he was a player! Bruce has a good track record in this division and he'll have Albion up near the top I'm sure Tough game for us coming up. 1 Quote

That's a squad that should be in the top 2. Quote
Ossydave Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I see coventry have had to move home games to Burton which is an hour or so away. An utter shambles especially in August, after all the shite they've had the last few years too.... Quote

At the exchange of team sheets an hour before kick off West Brom should have asked Rovers for permission to use the towels but they didn't. They simply put them around the pitch perimeter as the game started which was sneaky. It was up to the referee to stop it as permission wasn't given but he was weak and allowed it. It's different when West Brom are at home but they have to offer the visitors use of the towels too. So if Bruce asks on Sunday Tomasson should say no. If I was on the Rovers bench I would be reinforcing the point about their antics last season to the referee before the game. 2 Quote

bazza Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Surely we can pick up and dispose of litter at our own ground. Nowt to do with the referee. Quote
