A single point from the team currently bottom of the league, almost sure to go down. The no-show at Turf Moor. Had we showed the same passion we showed at Ewood we wouldn't have lost 3-0. Then there's the current horror run where we've lost to Birmingham and Norwich, failed to beat Huddersfield (21st), Hull (15th) and thrown away three points in the final moments of the match against Coventry and Preston. We just aren't ready. Maybe next season we will be, if the recruitment team massively step their game up and JDT stays, but we aren't there yet. Every chance we end the season without a win in 9, which should make it clear to everybody at Rovers that there are some major problems that need resolving. It's been a bizarre season in many ways, and I think we'll need to be a lot stronger next season to continue competing at the right end of the table. They're second division players (most of them) - there's always going to be head scratching results during a long season. The fact of the matter is that our front 4 don't score enough goals and we don't manufacture enough from set pieces. I'm hoping both are rectified in the summer. Quote

rog of the rovers Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) Two wins and we’re guaranteed playoffs. Late Sunderland equaliser didn’t change anything to be fair. Coventry winning and Millwall winning last night spoilt any chance of 4 points being enough. Particularly with our goal difference. 2 wins..Easy as that 👀😂 Edited April 29, 2023 by rog of the rovers 1 Quote

JohnD Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Grudging compliments to Mowbray for getting Sunderland up there, proved most of us wrong on here Quote
Mercer Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 TBH after our recent run of results, I don't think we could ask for anything other than it being back in our hands. We are on our way! 2 Quote
