Norwich sack Smith and they are 5th in the league ....

So it is possible....

The crowd had completely turned against him and he'd started having a pop at the supporters, as I said after the Norwich match that rarely ends well at a normal club.

Over 25, 000 at Bolton today and over 28,000 at Ipswich yesterday!  Both a division below us.

Christ almighty we are light years behind in forward thinking in attracting supporters despite our shite performances.

both clubs been through terrible ownership and come out of the otherside on the up,we need to rid ourselves of ours(somehow)

Dean smith and Chris wilder- I’d bite your hand off for either

Would they be doing any better than having us 3rd in the league?

They get worried and have to issue warnings to supporters if we get anything above 15,000.

They'd have a breakdown if we ever got over 20,000 on never mind close to 30,000.

I don't think they want it. The decision makers are quite happy with the 'optimum number' of 11,000 home fans paying top end prices and then a few bumper away followings to cash in on.

Easy to cash in on away followings - those fans will turn up and pay without the need for Rovers to make any effort. Getting more home fans in on a regular basis however does require effort and imagination.

sheff utd far and away the best side in the division

Looks like far and away the best side in the division will need to wait a little bit longer to be top of the division. Quite a dirty side Birmingham but that’s another game, another three goals and another 3 points. 11 ahead of third now and just wish January was over so our squad can’t be disturbed.

Just on the attendances thing - Bolton is about 3 times bigger than Blackburn. Ipswich, whilst it’s direct population isn’t much bigger than Blackburn, there is literally no other league team near - Norwich is about 50 miles away. Is it really a fair comparison?

Those clubs made some effort to increase their season ticket sales. The brainless chumps here couldn't be arsed.

Ipswich no, so not fussed about them.

Bolton very much so as throughout history we’ve always been fairly similarly supported. Also ‘population of the borough’ as the basis of your argument is not an exact science as support comes from outside borough boundaries, indeed parts of Bolton borough are historically not even BWFC hotbeds, they just got bundled in with the town in the local government changes of 1974, whereas the town of Bolton is not significantly larger than BwD.

Third division Bolton have higher crowds for one reason  - season tickets with an entry point of £220/£230

Fair enough - it was just on the surface it seemed a little unbalanced.

A decade of pure shite with very little exception has decimated the fan base. I know blokes who were die hard Rovers fans who wouldn’t go if you gave them a free season ticket now.

It’s not just the results or the football it’s the feeling of complete alienation from the club. Nothing we can do or say will effect anything of what goes on at Ewood. We count for nothing. Absolutely nothing. We’re totally dis-connected from Blackburn Rovers. We exist in a parallel universe to the Chicken Chokers. Short of getting on a plane to Pune and lobbing a brick through their window that is.

I was there when we were playing and losing to Rochdale in the old Div 3 and I didn’t have this feeling of powerlessness that I have now. I’ve said it before but I feel like I’m a passenger on that plane that the pilot decided to fly into a mountain.

id`e take starting again in the west lancashire league if it meant getting rid of the indians, football clubs never die, they always rise again, coppull utd vs rovers😅it would be friggin epic!!!!!!!!

As long as this shower own Rovers it’ll just be more of the same with the only route out of this league through the trap door. I just hope I live long enough to see them gone.

Football clubs do die. Halifax, Wimbledon, etc.

New clubs are formed but would you really want to lose Rovers history?
