Tormund Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 (edited) Get in JDT! Three points and clean sheet Edited July 30, 2022 by Tormund 1 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Sounds like we have a lot to improve on, but it is a win. I hope we get some players in now. Quote
Guest Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Very much a nothing game, with little to choose between the teams, but fair play to our boys, they have done the business, which is all we can ask. Quote
WacoRover Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 YES, off to a rip roaring start, under Jon Dahl Tomasson!!! Thanks to Ayala, Buckley, Travis, et. al. job well done, lads!!! Quote
yankfan Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Good start. 3 points and in the end quite comfortable. Nothing too exciting about the attack. QPR really looked poor Quote
JohnD Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 A piss poor first 20 minutes and a wonder goal out of nowhere. Steadily improved throughout after that. Good to see us getting bodies in the box and getting behind the ball quickly. Fair, must do better 1 Quote

des Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Good start to the season with hopefully more players in soon 1 Quote
Devon Rover Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Phew! Good win, that. Especially when we clearly need a few more players in. Great to see the JDT enthusiasm being carried into the season. Stunning goal by our new captain, who will hopefully be being encouraged to have the confidence to be more dynamic now (like he looked to be when he broke through, and before his ambition was shackled). First three points on the board on day one. Well done, lads! Quote

Got no recollection of whatever horror table it was that they were talking about. Likely him trying to control a ball then running into someone after the ball bounced 5 yards away 2 Quote

Buckley was great but I don't think any of the front four played a decent pass all game. On the flip side Hedges, BBD, Travis and Gallagher totally bullied their midfield. Gally and Hedges had better defensive than offensive games, which is not what you want but it did play a role in the win. QPR are a decent side and they barely got a sniff today Edited July 30, 2022 by joey_big_nose 1 Quote
Sweaty Gussets Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 New era, new manager, 3 points, clean sheet. Still more signings to come. Lots of room for optimism. 6 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted July 30, 2022 Backroom Posted July 30, 2022 Great result to start the season with. Hoping the team is bolstered asap to improve the overall quality and depth. 2 Quote
Ossydave Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Can't ask for much more than a winning start for JDT 👍 Shame the Diaz goal didn't count then we could have waved our dicks about saying top of the league, but we move. Ayala once again proving he's one of the best in the league, just stay bloody fit lad! I still find it hard to believe he's only 31 yet I'm 40 and can train 5 or 6 days a week! 1 Quote
yankfan Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Buckley and Trav could be the best central mid pairing we’ve had in 10 years. Wonder where Dack fits in 4 Quote

neophox Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Great start to the season with a hard fought win! Nice to see a new manager who can manage. Quote
Mercer Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 A win is a win. Starting season well is so important. Clearly, we need some very good additions. Keep saying it but confidence and momentum are everything and only long undefated runs give you that. 1 Quote
Beanie01289 Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Buckley was great today always looking to go forward with the ball brave play. 3 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 (edited) 3 points first day of the season. Thank you very much. 79' Substitution Substitution, Peterborough United. Hector Kyprianou replaces Sammie Szmodics. 🤔 Edited July 30, 2022 by bigbrandjohn Add smiley Quote

1864roverite Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 You can only beat what’s in front of you ! 1-0 home win 3 points clean sheet keeper had nothing to save and to belt it off AC/DC ticking Ewood before kick off it’s what we needed 2 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 Buzzing with the win ..definitely need a few more signings in key areas, could see how JDT wants us to play but we looked nervy at the start but grew into it Gallagher should be a sub not a starter Quote
