tomphil Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 With the intense play required of the front men by this coach there'll be tired legs need resting so that's when Dack will come in. Quote

Darragh Lenihan - 4 Brought in to add leadership and composure at the back but he was unconvincing as Boro corroded before receiving a straight red late on. You do question why he wasn't the man closest to Dykes for the third goal. Thats the rating given by their local rag Wonder how long before Darragh regrets his move if he isn't already. All I have to say after today is Darragh who? Quote

Or he can join the long list of flops who thought the grass was greener. Great performance. I was struggling to enjoy the game until it sank in we actually had a game plan. Shape hassling at the right time, back to front and in their net in short order, lovely goals. Yes of course it is only two games but surely we can be nervously optimistic because of what we have seen in this two games. Si that's what a proper manager.can do, love it. Let's see, as GS used to say, what he does after we get punched on the nose. Edited August 7, 2022 by USABlue 2 Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Great result! I haven't watched the full game yet, just saw the goals on YT. To get up to speed I decided to watch the post match presser from Martin. It would appear that there was some friction between the benches so if Lowe was behind that then that's a bonus point to him I never expected to give. It's worth a look as Martin covers us, our tactics quite a bit. 1 Quote

Fuck him. His ball crushing foul was atrocious, nothing 'professional foul' about that. The positive being he wasn't in our kit. Oh ... and that Boro lost. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 7, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted August 7, 2022 We won 3-0 away from home. At a stadium we have never won at before (if I’m not mistaken). That’s surely a win, whatever side of the fence you reside on. Quote

He said we have two of the best counter-attacking forwards in the league, surely he can’t mean Gallagher…! Edited August 7, 2022 by Exiled in Toronto 1 Quote

One of these lower league managers with a superiority complex because he has his team passing the ball for passing its sake even when he doesn’t have the players to pull it off. The rest of the league certainly won’t ‘hate’ picking them off and taking three points… Edited August 7, 2022 by Mattyblue 7 Quote

matt83 Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I don’t know anything about that manager but he would irritate the hell out of me if I was a Swansea fan. We have to find solutions to problems is his equivalent of we’re on journey. Delusional as well with his style of play being so effective, rovers let Swansea have the ball because they did fuck all with it and as for played in our third, at times it was, but mostly sideways passing not in our third. 1 Quote
M_B Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 That's both games that we've seen Rovers keep a clean sheet and play out the last few minutes calmly, virtually without incident. Can't help thinking that losing Lenihan might well be a factor. 1 Quote

Has your view on Hedges changed at all? Agree, He was in the Championship team of the season. You dont make that unless you're good in your position in the league. its the 'He's shit anyway' mentality whenever a player leaves. 7 Quote

What a tosspot Sounds a bit mowbrayesque in his excuses and waffling You dont accidentally win 3 nill, sounds like we had them in our pocket tactically for most of the game 1 Quote
