TheRoversReturn Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 A team previously managed by O'Neill and about to be managed by Neil...against a team that can't create more than a chance or two each game. Sounds like a goalless draw has to be a good bet! Quote

Sweaty Gussets Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) Dack is Back! Sharp has gone with the above, suprised we've gone 5 at the back. Edited August 27, 2022 by Sweaty Gussets Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) Bloody hell. Do I not like that back 5. If there’s a weaker pair of full backs in the league I haven’t seen them yet. Edited August 27, 2022 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote
Ricky Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 That’s a shocking starting lineup if correct Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Very strange team. Glad to see Dack start, terrified to see Rankin Costello and Phillips in defence and the balance seems strange. Quote

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 That back line is horrendous. Hardly a tackle in that side and no pace whatsoever. Can't see anything but a loss. So no doubt we'll win 3-0. Quote
davulsukur Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Morton at CB? Fair enough in an injury crisis against a league 2 team but in a league game? More mental decisions under JDT than Mowbray! Quote
ben_the_beast Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 It could be a 4-3-2-1 The old Christmas tree formation Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) That defence. Jesus Christ. The two slowest wing backs to have graced football. Edited August 27, 2022 by Gavlar Somerset Rover! 1 Quote
Darrenbot Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Everybody worried about the defence so i'm predicting we'll get a clean sheet today, one goal will be enough for the win. 2 Quote
neophox Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Blackburn Rovers (4-2-3-1): Kaminski; Rankin-Costello, Phillips, Ayala, Morton, Pickering; Travis, Buckley; Szmodics, Brereton Diaz, Dack. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Zero pace in that team. I’d be surprised if we get a result here. Quote
SuperBrfc Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 That defence is abysmal. Bradford in the cup is one thing, but this... Got to hope to Dack or BBD can come up with something. Quote
neophox Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Looks like Morton and Travis will be the holding midfelders..... Buckley higher up? Quote
OsloRover Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Could also be 4 at the back with a midfield diamond, Travis as DM. Who knows. Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 At least Diaz starts so he's no nearer the door. 2 Quote
WacoRover Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Tomasson is either very clever, or desperately grasping at straws. I will be in the minority here; I expect to get point(s) today. Quote
slowmo Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I like the team / shape to be honest, hopefully Buckley has a better game with Morton covering . Dack back Just need a more attacking lwb 1 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Dack's starting. Probably wont last the entire game but good to see him have some influence in attacking play right from the start. Morton Travis and Bucko should make our midfield abit more compact. Think we will miss Gally today (not often I will say this). His willingness to run up the flanks, his defensive duties to protect the RB could be missed here. I'm starting to appreciate his role in the team this season. 1 Quote
