SuperBrfc Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 As a big fan of samosas, I think it's brilliant these will now be available right outside Ewood. Those and the biryani are on the must try list for me. Good variety on the menu too. Fair play to Yasir and the club for sorting this out. 5 Quote
bluebruce Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I had thought the original plan was for them to be sold in the concourse? Also surprised they're 'back', I thought they'd be available from the start of the season. Sounds like they're good though, gonna have to try one some time. Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted August 27, 2022 Backroom Posted August 27, 2022 It still surprises me that Venkys don't supply food to the club. Easiest way to save money! Quote

I thought so too, as it was available to buy from within the Stadium last season. Maybe the extended menu makes it easier or better to have a stall type setup outside. I saw Yasir tweet something before the season started about the biryani not being available for the QPR game, but that it would be 'back soon' along with a variety of other options. It sounds like he wanted to improve on last season's offering, so fair play. Quote

They could really launched their venky expresses at ewood and used it was a platform to build their takaway brand in the uk. But that went belly up. Maybe if they get us back in the prem soon it could be a good chance for a fresh start and clenish slate and they'd have another opportunity. Upside Down Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Don't know why it took so long for the club to offer this sort of stuff. Should have had this at least 20 years ago. Show me one person in Blackburn that doesn't love a good curry. Quote

That's not even "cheesy nachos" it's half a packet of doritos with about 2 pence worth of (probably fake) cheese sprinkled on top. Please tell me nobody on here paid for that! 3 Quote
J*B Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Embarrassing. But they hit their targets by outsourcing it, so that’s a big tick. Quote
tomphil Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Similar wherever you go with these outsourced catering franchise, cinema, big time boxing, music venues etc Shite but they get away with it although you'd think modest sized 'community' football clubs could offer something different. Having said that the stuff at Rovers is far from the worst you'll come across if you travel about a bit. Edited September 14, 2022 by tomphil 1 Quote
