The Sukur Fulham away game was on 12th April 2004 - I can never forget, as it was my 21st birthday (and I remember it being on the TV screens in the pubs I was in that evening) 😄

Well, you have managed to forget.. Sukur played for us in 02/03, not 03/04. The ‘04 game was the 3-4.

I remember 'watching' the 3-4 game on teletext. Nothing to go off apart from the scores updating every five minutes or so. Genuinely more exciting than most live games I've seen over the last 10 years!

Ah yeah, it was definitely the 4-3 win, but it was the Andy Cole wasn't it?

Was convinced Sukur played in that one, until I just checked the stats.

Can see the confusion, as the 02-03 game was on April 7th 2003, and the 03-04 game was on April 12th 2004.

Scored 4 in both of them, both games were on Monday nights, and both were at Loftus Road!

Wahlstedt carried off 15 minutes in to his debut for AGF after a somewhat random collision. Feel for the guy.

Mad it's taken him this long to get his debut, or has their season only just started?

The season has been going for a couple of months. The first choice keeper is 39 and has been really steady  for a while. Today was a cup game which is why Leo was playing.

Just to follow up on Mark & Andy's straitening out which Fulham away game thing: Yeah, both were at Loftus Road during the confusion period over the future of the Cottage(We're gonna renovate; no wait......Yeah, we're gonna renovate).  Thankfully, they kept the place; it's my favorite away ground.  Sukur's brace came in the 03 one & 2 months later he was out of here.  I think he broke his leg in training if I remember correctly.

The 2nd one was the EPIC match of our survival struggle in 04.  I watched it at home with the satellite feed & was the source of updates on instant message (remember that?) for 2 others who couldn't get away from work(it was late afternoon here in the eastern US). Andy Cole got us 1 on a great pass from Tugs only for Fulham to level then get ahead before halftime. Right after the restart Jonathan Douglas volleyed one home off a headed throw-in, then Amo's free kick followed by another Fulham leveler, then a Cole flick-on for Stead to finally finish things off.

I still have the tape of that game somewhere.

One game in the ZDS (Full Members) cup in 1990.

We lost 4-1 to Everton, then never seen again.

Hardly a former "Blackburn star" !

on loan if i remember correctly, got sent back because we had the excellent mark grew on loan as well (this was during don mackays last years, we had no money, lots of injuries and he had to play a load of young players, most of them not good enough, darren collier, the goalkeeper was one such example)

just listened to Nigel martyn on under the cosh, he said Geoff Thomas had signed for Blackburn.  Am I being thick in thinking he never actually signed for us and it fell thru?

Jack Walker pulled the plug on the transfer as overheard directors of Thomas's club laughing at ripping Rovers off.
