I'd play Diaz and Hedges up front.

I'm working on the assumption Diaz has gone.

I didn't think he had, but if Diaz is not available, I would play Hedges and Markanday.

             Morton     A Wharton

Hedges        Dack        Brereton

????? - who knows? Markanday? Is there anyone?

Yeah a bit of a concern having no striker. I know we are trying to play this "fluid attack" bollocks but we still need a striker who can hit the back of the net as far as I am concerned.

Currently 10th. Bastards 3rd, after Norwich.

Burnleys business is paying off for them. They looked a bit shite until they signed a couple.

Presuming Brereton is gone and Hirst isn’t signed up in time.

If we are a striker light for tomorrow then I’d start Vale. I know he hasn’t really got going yet, but with game time he could yet deliver goals. Presuming we bring someone in, could be his last chance.

Three at the back, two wing-backs, three in mid-field, two up front. I have seen this formation played many a time. It is a formation that is very hard to break down. It is a system in which 8 of the outfield players are always involved in the game. the way we have been playing recently, with this fluid four up front, just means that those four forwards usually get isolated, and do not impact the game as much, leaving only six to deal with the opposition. I don't understand why you laughed at the formation, please explain.

I think it's because of the way your post showed when formatted on a mobile phone:

Yeh I especially feel for A Wharton, who has to occupy both flanks of the pitch simultaneously.

Big game this. We need a win to kick us back into life, and following the 2nd half performance against Stoke, I think we will get it.

Id go with:

kaminski

Carter Ayala Hyam

Buckley Travis Wharton Edun

Hedges Dack Diaz

I think he'll pick the above...but think I'd go....

                Kaminski

Carter Phillips Ayala Hyam Pickering

           Travis Wharton

           Hedges Dack

              Diaz

Head says a 1-1 draw...but fear we'll lose.

Important game. We've lost 3 in a row without scoring, so I'd take a score draw to arrest both slides. Prediction is 1-1, Blackpool are tricky but as inconsistent than ourselves. Dolan to score for us - this is exactly the type of game he looks good in coming up against a cumbersome duo.

I've always thought midweek games under new management are a good barometer of how quickly coaching ideals translate to the pitch. I've no concerns about JDT Saturday-Saturday but it's a different challenge when recovery and preparation is shortened. Very interested to see how we set up tonight...

I think Buckley has played himself onto the bench. Unless he’s the stand in right back.
