Going off past performances we won’t be seeing Ayala again this year never mind this Saturday. Edited September 1, 2022 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote
roverandout Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Start with Wharton and morton we should be dominating them. Rovers 3 City 0 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) As usual I’ll wait and see who goes where today before making my mind up. All I know is games in this division are only easy once you’ve done the hard work that makes them easy. The first goal seems to be more important to us than any other team. Score first and we’re a force to be reckoned with, go behind and it’s another story altogether. Edited September 1, 2022 by Tyrone Shoelaces 4 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Think we will probably switch to 343 for this one to match up with Bristol City. In terms of who plays it's conceivable signings from today could go straight in (especially if they are of the quality of Dembele!) 1 Quote
Guest Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Last night showed there's a real value in keeping Travis away from central spaces. As difficult as that is, I'd go with: Kaminski Travis Ayala Hyam Pickering Morton Wharton Hedges Dack Brereton Díaz Gallagher Quote

Id stick with the same back 4 as last night Ayala more than likely won't be fit I'd put Hirst in instead of Dolan from last night's 11 4 Quote

Will Ayala be back by then is the burning question. Quote

roversfan99 Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 As it stands I would go: Kaminski Carter Hyam Mola Pickering Travis A Wharton Hedges Dack Brereton Hirst Subs: Pears, Phillips, Buckley, Morton, Markanday, Szmodics, Dolan That is assuming that the squad is unchanged transfer wise and that none of Wharton, Ayala, Brittain and Gallagher are back. I think Travis needs to be back in midfield as soon as possible ideally. 1 Quote

joey_big_nose Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Seems like we have done our business.... maybe Dembele will turn up later but not holding my breath. Bristol City are going to come to Ewood in a 343, sit back, be aggressive physically and hit us on the break. Sort of setup that regularly beats us and we have struggled to have a counter argument to. JDT wants to be tactically flexible, we've got some players coming back to fitness, and he's seen us get absolutely mulched by Reading and Sheff Utd who play a similar way to Bristol City. So I think we will go 343 ourselves on Saturday and match up. I want to see a really good performance where we can show we can adapt and nullify teams who know how to hurt us. Team for me : Kaminski Carter Hyam S Wharton Travis Morton A Wharton Pickering Dack Hedges Brereton Subs : Pears, Phillips, Edun, Buckley, Hirst, Dolan, Vale 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 The 4-2-3-1 suits us and worked last night, I wouldn't change that. Quote
arealbrfcfan Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Off subject but I’m staying in the brockhall village and wondered if the players trained every day? And what time? See if I can see any of them. the players training faculties are 5 mins walk from here Quote

chaddyrovers Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 My team based that I don't think Brittain, Ayala and Gallagher won't be fit for the game Kaminski Travis Carter Hyam Pickering Morton A.Wharton Hedges Dack BBD Hirst Subs:- Pears, Edun, Buckley, Phillips, Vale, Dolan, Markanday Quote
Andy Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Gutted I'm missing this one - bought tickets to take the kids to a wrestling thing in Cardiff on Sat before the fixtures came out 🤦♂️ However, optimistic after the Blackpool performance and a win would keep us within a couple of points from the top spot. I'd go with: Kaminski Travis Carter Hyam Pickering Wharton Morton Hedges Dack BBD Hirst Quote
