Gav Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Awful defending on half way line, was it Hyam that dived in? But that was coming, Rovers been poor going forward, no pace, Diaz on the wing….. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Bristol haven't won away yet. Blackpool put 3 past them too. Quote
yankfan Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Bristol finding a lot of space behind Morton and Wharton to break the press. Doesn’t help when the front 4 continue to give the ball away. Quote

He really needs to rip them (and himself) a new one at half time. That’s four games in five (league) where we just aren’t at the races. simply not good enough. Maphsa Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Think the the comments on Pickering are unfair, he's had a good game with Diaz not working back as much as usual and no support from the CMs. Been 2v1 down that side every time. Quote
jim mk2 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Wharton not quite the next messiah. Tomasson should read the riot act after that tripe Quote

West Yorks Rover Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 The transfer window not looking too good at this moment in time. Quote
Atko's Engine Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Poor 1st half that. Miss some bite in midfield with Travis at RB and Wharton on an early yellow. Dack too deep and not supporting Hirst, so any knockdown or flick ons give possession back. Tighten up midfield & we can turn the tide. Take off Wharton for Buckley, put Buckley at RB and move Travis inside, and get dack playing further forward. Give them more to think about defensively. Quote
Give 'Em the Axe Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Agree with most of the above. I would rather like Morton to calm down with the 'Hollywood' pass attempts as well. Just give it easy to the open man. He's been off with a few raking passes today. Quote
Colt Seavers Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Buckley coming on 2nd half I think. Probably for Wharton Quote
des Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Well back down to earth we need to keep the ball better and there midfieldiswining the battle ihave never liked playing so many forwards leaves the middle wide-open let's hope for a better second half Quote
rovers11 Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Our midfield two are non-existent, I think Wharton needs to come off. He looks like a red card waiting to happen too with him already being on a yellow. Bristol have played well but it's easy when there's so much space to play in. Lucky to be only 1-0 down. Hyam has been our best player. 1 Quote
AAK Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 We are definitely a better side with Buckley in the side. We break with the ball faster, he’s a quicker football brain than most of the team. Quote
Darrenbot Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 We'll score in the 2nd half, the problem is they'll score at least 2 more unless we tighten up,there so much space between our midfield and defence for City to run into Quote
benhben Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Said it during the transfer window, for all the talk of centre backs and forwards..the thing that's killing us each game is having zero physicality in CM. Even if they weren't the most technical player someone with a bit of pace, height, aggression and stamina Is so badly needed. Especially only playing 2 in there. For all their ability, Morton and Wharton will get bullied as a pair in most games. Maybe see if Mola could do a job. 4 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Looking at the bench, wondering who's gonna change it for us. Need JDT's tactical genius now or else i can see a few more goals from Bristol in the second half. They are so precise in their passing, high pressing and well-organised. Quote

SuperBrfc Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Their midfield is running things with Matty James and Scott having a field day so far. It's naive for us to be going in to league games with two youngsters in the middle, as promising as they may be. Our midfield is likely to be a concern for most of the season, unless it is addressed in January. 1 Quote
Backroom Silas Posted September 3, 2022 Backroom Posted September 3, 2022 Weimann seems to rip us to shreds every time we play him. Best player on pitch so far for me. 1 Quote
