That is a change from the norm, where matches are only available to watch live for overseas. Why the change, I wonder? I got the previous two Rovers games on ESPN+; sadly, not today. I get Preston/Burnley Quote

Indeed, but if we reacted the same way we did last time we lost 7-0, I'd take it! As long as we skipped the second half of the season collapse this time... Quote

I think it's the case whenever there is a midweek match on Sky's red button or something like that. It was in place last season too. Seems a very random rule but whatever. Quote

I was on the away end that night, we cleared one off the line in extra time and managed to hang on, I can't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing considering the final outcome...... broadsword Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Was it two two the away game in our promotion season? I went to that one. From memory it was after we'd had six straight defeats, wegerle put us two one up and then we got pegged back. I was absolutely gutted and convinced at that point that we wouldn't go up 1 Quote
islander200 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 3 at the back. Disappointed A Wharton and Dack on the bench Quote
rovers11 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 S Wharton and Ayala return to play alongside Hyam as we switch to a back 3. Sensible decision. That's the formation we should play moving forward. 4 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Disappointed with 3 at the back. Clearly JDT is trying to hold out for a draw tonight. Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Szmodics can’t even make the squad. Happy to be proved wrong but I would have started both Dack and A Wharton. 4 Quote

Aqualung Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Let's not be as charitable in midfield tonight. The amount of times we carelessly gave the ball away against Stoke and Bristol City was school boy stuff. Quote
rovers11 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 I'm pleased with the line up. We need to get back to basics and become hard to beat and hard to score against. The team picked tonight suggests JDT agrees with that sentiment. 2 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 It’s increasingly clear that if Dacky doesn’t play the JDT way then he doesn’t play. Quote

Sweaty Gussets Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Rovers: Kaminski, Carter, Ayala, Hyam, S Wharton, Pickering, Travis, Morton, Dolan, Hedges, Brereton Not sure what Morton's done to keep his place. That attack though. Hedges false 9? That's Mowbray-esque. Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 No way we’re getting a result tonight. Expect an easy 2/3-0 win for Watford. Quote
Ossydave Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Obviously playing on the counter. The 3 centre halves should offer more cover for the weaker positions (imo) at left and right WB. It could work, see how we get on first half. As a side note he doesn't seem to rate Markanday does he? Quote
