Popular Post bluebruce Posted September 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2022 Lenihan appears to have not made the bench (and not been injured) for Boro's game tonight, which they lost, leaving them 20th. I wonder how green he is finding that grass? 11 Quote

Ossydave Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Difficult to pick faults in that performance, superb all over the park. Now let's have a bit more consistency! You do have to wonder though if some results would have been more positive with the likes of Ayala and Wharton playing. Pickering looks much more confident knowing he's got a bit of backup as well. It's definitely the formation we should adopt at weekend, bastard injuries permitting! 6 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Its a very different feeling to Blackpool where we won because Blackpool were naive and let us play the way we liked so it felt a bit of a hollow victory. Today we could have beaten any team in the division imo. 9 Quote
Aqualung Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 10 MoM contenders for me. Kaminski had bugger all to do. Watford just a team of journeymen. Albeit a bit good in patches. 1 Quote

Early days but I feel less nervous with Hyam than I did Lenihen lovely finish too. Hedges is a classy player Thought Morton looked really good. We looked solid at the back and really limited Watford's chances. Like others have said, need to keep Ayala and Wharton fit and we have a solid defensive base to work off 1 Quote
neophox Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Hyams goal was absolutely stunning!! 4 Quote

neophox Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 We seem to have a go all for a win or lose mentality..... no draws. Quote

The difference now is we can settle into this and dominate games. Back three superb - Hyam, Wharton and Ayala are as good as you get this level - and our front three very good also. Travis excellent at his role Morton not so sure about but we have Buckley and Adam Wharton to compete. Maybe I'm wrong, we can see over the next 10 games, but I think today was a major corner turned. Game of opinions eh? I thought Morton stood out and played a big part in us dominating the first half entirely. Calm on the ball, seldom chooses the wrong option. Simple most of the time, clever all of the time. Almost played Breo through but was marginally offside. 6 Quote

Bbrovers2288 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Superb lads, excellent result, unfortunately it needs to be followed up with some consistency to make it mean something. Last match I watched was Blackpool which I thought we were really good then we followed that with some stinkers, let’s see if we can turn the yo-yo performances around 4 Quote

Popular Post davulsukur Posted September 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2022 The other bonus is that it seems Carter is a more than capable RB which eases the pressure of having only Brittain in that position. And hopefully gives him some competition. 16 Quote

My gut feel is Morton will be displaced over time but we will see. 1 Quote
