frosty Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Crystal Palace under Hodgson would lose most games and hardly score apart from Zaha getting about 10 a season, but still finish 12th-14th on 40 odd points. 1 Quote

grizfoot Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Jussi Jaaskelainen has been Bolton's number one for the last 25 years. Steve Bruce has been manager of Wolves. Jason Roberts missed every one-on-one chance he got in his time at Rovers. It's glorious sunshine on the opening day of every season without fail. 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 The Homes Under The Hammer Presenter, Dion Dublin, is good friends with the producers of Football Focus and Match of the Day. As a result of this friendship, he is often invited on to both shows to have a go at punditry. This is despite him having never kicked a ball in his life before. Quote

Listened to a podcast this afternoon with Dion Dublin on . He said that Coventry chairman had agreed a 6.7 million fee with rovers and was trying to force him to come but he point blank refused to even come and meet us. He ended up at villa not long later for For £5.7 million Quote

November 1998, that must have been around the time we signed Blake. We signed Ward a month later. He could have saved us a lot of bother had he agreed to join us. I read him say he wanted to go somewhere where he could win trophies. FA Cup Final 2000 - Chelsea 1-0 Villa. League Cup Final 2002 - Rovers 2-1 Spurs. Oh well, Dion. Oh well 💪. 1 Quote

SuperBrfc Posted October 11, 2022 Author Posted October 11, 2022 The last time Rovers scored a 90th minute winner was back in January 2008, when Jason Roberts scored late on at the Reebok Stadium. Quote

If true that is a shocking stat as we seem to have let plenty in during that time. Dunny’s equaliser at Ewood against the inbreds felt like a winner right enough, but even that must be what, 8 or 9 years ago now. Quote

Based on MarkBRFC's post from a few days ago, our last 90th minute winner was in December 2020 against Rotherham, the one before that was in November 2019 against Sheffield Wednesday. That is poor, as we seem to have conceded plenty of late goals over the past few years. 1 Quote
Hasta Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Scotty beamed us up in 1992. Then retired. I have no real recollection of him playing for either Newcastle or Bolton. 1 Quote

SuperBrfc Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 Any European striker that the big clubs in England are unsure about ends up being sent to a London based testing ground first, otherwise known as West Ham United. If he impresses at West Ham, one of those big clubs will take him off their hands. If not, he will be sold to a Spanish or French club and nobody will speak of him again. Quote
