SuperBrfc Posted September 24, 2022 Author Posted September 24, 2022 The only time the Champions League was special was when games were shown live on ITV 1 and commentary was provided by Clive Tyldesley. The competition lost all meaning when BT Sport took over the rights. Quote

windymiller7 Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 If a match finishes with the floodlights on, you must have them on at the start of the next game even if they're not required. (Somebody told me that years ago & I believed them!) Quote

When they let teams in who weren't champions then it just became a total farce. That was the moment when football started on its trajectory towards the boring, uncompetitive shyte we see today. And ITVs commentary was unbearable at times. Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 I hate that they let champions league teams filter into the uefa/europa league. and what even is the conference league. What’s the point of that 2 Quote

I totally have this with Jay McEveley. He was on LMA manager 2003 as an OK youngster and I still think he must be a player in his early 20s trying to find his feet somewhere 1 Quote

He was 17 when he had a stormer of a debut at Old Trafford. It looked like we had a player, but sadly it didn't work out. LMA Manager though. What a game. I played them all up until 2005. Didn't play the last couple in the series, but spent many hours on the earlier ones. Quote
Crimpshrine Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 (edited) A Sunderland fanzine once asked for votes on the best players ever to play for the club and the worst players ever to play for the club. Two teams were then compiled based on the votes. Howard Gayle made both teams Edited September 25, 2022 by Crimpshrine Quote

SuperBrfc Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Nolberto Solano was a one club man, who spent his entire career at Newcastle. Also, Laurent Robert had to score a 30 yard screamer every week, or else he wouldn't get paid that week. It worked a treat. Quote
