jim mk2 Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Where is the leadership on the field? Answer: there isn't any. Dack or another senior pro should have grabbed the ball and taken the pen Where is the leadership off the field? Answer: None, because no decent manager would keep telling his team to play that way 8 Quote

BigBar Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 No Pity party but why are these night oh so common? Makes you sick at the substandard displays that are allowed to occur. Inadequate owners Inadequate board Inadequate management Inadequate players Quote

Gaz85 Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I’ve enjoyed JDTs interviews to date, will be interested to hear his take on tonight’s performance. An absolute shit show from start to finish. 2 Quote
rovers11 Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I was hopeful Hirst may look half decent when he pulled on a Rovers shirt. He doesn't. Bloody awful player. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 dack, gallagher, hedges, morton, travis all of them should have been ahead of hirst, very unprofessional of our skipper not to make the decision for that hirst did`nt get the call,he`s the last one who should have been taking it,id`e sooner have kaminski take one than him Quote
WacoRover Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Tbh, we were not in this one from the start. Abysmal performance throughout, gave the ball away at every opportunity. I am surprised we could keep it at 1-0. 3 Quote

He should be demoted after that. The ref didn’t let that goal in or back off their players all night tbf. He gave us a pen which we then fluffed. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I am gutted we missed that Penalty. Wish Sky hadn't shown that Keeper penalty stat before the penalty. Feel for Hirst tonight. The overall performance wasn't good enough. BBD, Dolan and Hedges all off form tonight. Buckley was awful. I still feel we aren't using Callum Brittain enough in the attacking third. Anyway, we moved on and let's go and beat Rotherham on Saturday now. I would stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation, but I would drop Ayala, Dolan and Buckley for Scott Wharton, Hirst and Morton. 1 Quote

I didn't turn off but said to myself he'd miss. He hadn't kicked the fucking ball since coming on. AND he took the ball and demanded taking it. Useless pleb Quote
Uddersfelt Blue Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 (edited) I don’t want to watch this football served up by JDT. Some good players but tactics are pathetic Edited October 4, 2022 by Uddersfelt Blue Quote
neophox Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 There was a lot of pen takers on the pitch...this is really strange decision...Hirst cost us 1 p. Quote

I repeat, in terms of ball retention and passing, that is as bad as I have ever seen, and ever is a long time.... That’s the thing, when I saw that he was stepping up I was like 100% this lad is going to miss. How could an Ayala or a Travis not go “Here mate, I’ll take this one”, assuming Gallagher or Dack wussed out of it Quote
Beanie01289 Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Can't believe the ref blew up for the pen as the ball was cut back even a further second and its a goal Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 A lot not to like about that but senior pros letting a 20 yr old sub loanee take a last minute penalty is the most cowardly thing on a football pitch I’ve ever seen. Absolute disgrace. 3 Quote
Tricky Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Look on the bright side, we're beating Rotherham on Saturday 😃 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted October 4, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted October 4, 2022 Dack should have wrestled that ball from Hirst, but even then, that’s a terrible penalty. Quote
alcd Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 If this was a Mowbray performance what would we be saying.... Quote

Genuinely calm here so more of a discussion than a pop, do you not think it's possible to be in a flattering position? We have won a few games where we didn't deserve which is part of football, I get that. But your not at all concerned by his tactics and selections. Yes football is knee jerk and wrongly so at times but I'm baffled by JDT and his approach and his apparent reluctance to address short comings and the game develops. Quote
