No it wasn't, he was at least a yard onside when the free kick was played into him. Very worrying decision for the integrity of the Tournament going forward. Either the VAR operators don't know the rules or are corrupt. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 poor qataris are going to get the old bamboo treatment on their feet after the game, this is a great dishonour to the arab world 1 Quote
Proudtobeblue&white Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Well. it was a knee, could have been a bollock, good job they are being well beaten. 1 Quote
Backroom Silas Posted November 20, 2022 Backroom Posted November 20, 2022 Would be quite amusing if Qatar took a pasting here. 5 or 6 nil please. Taken a hammering before the tournament, let’s follow it up with one on the pitch. 🤞 7 Quote
Darrenbot Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 So Qatar have been in a training camp since June. They should have started last June with what they've shown so far. 2 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 At least the cheating gets are two down now, there was actually more of a case for offside with the second than with the one that was ludicrously ruled out. Ecuador look fairly decent though. 1 Quote
roverandout Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Netherlands will give them a prison pounding 2 Quote

Stones has Been solid for city. We conceded just two goals at the euros. It ain't shite White won't play, I don't rate our defence, Maguire, Shaw, etc...poor Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Apparently its quite cool in the stadium, the only really high temperature is the heat map in the Qatar half of the pitch. I really did think Qatar would be better than that. It was not offside. Not when in happened, not when VAR decided it was and not when the photo shopped pic was shown. 1 Quote

Ianrally Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 At least one England defender who deserves to be there on merit with his current form is Trippier. 2 Quote
Giant Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Group A could be decided by who scores most goals against Qatar, the worst team I have ever seen in the WC finals. 5 Quote

Qatar have been embarrassingly bad since I was a kid. They were mine and my mate's fave team to pick as whipping boys on FIFA 94 when we wanted to get a cricket score using Brazil. 3 Quote
Hasta Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 And yet they’ve still had more shots than we did last Sunday 🙄 1 Quote

These stupid VAR decisions are given in the Prem most weeks. VAR was NOT introduced for these type of cases.😡 1 Quote

There’s two players there, both touch the ball. Watch it back. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 belgium are a monster 18/1 to win the world cup,for all their talent they`ve been hamstrung by not having a decent manager for the last three major tournaments, they really should have won something, maybe this time it could be theirs 1 Quote

I can’t work out the standard the Qatar team are playing at, but it’s not high. Perhaps bottom of L2 at a push. Quote

Their best opportunity was 4 years ago. The level of players they have now isn't the same as then. Take de bruyne courtois and lukaku out this team they have no particularly great players Quote
