We need to be careful or we're going to get sucker punched. The US are looking dangerous on the counter and we're ponderous outside their penalty area, with very limited creativity to break down their defensive lines. Feels like we're set up to get behind a defence when we really need a locksmith in there.

Poor half overall. We need more creativity on the pitch. Plenty of athleticism out there but not enough ingenuity for my liking.

Decent opposition after the Iran training match and England look very ordinary. We’re on the back foot and second to nearly every ball. US keeper looks good, who does he play for?

they`ve sussed us out and if they can keep up their intensity levels they will continue to threaten, southgate needs to get someone creative on,find the space and deliver the killer ball

We’re playing walking football again.

That Stones to Maguire rinse and repeat is a killer, it dampens everything. If it goes out to Trippier all he does is pass it back. It's chronic.

Wales changed it and went more direct to Keifer Moore. I’d get Toney on and do the same.

Oh wait…..

The Americans have the measure of England tactically. Southgate is doing a fair impression of Tomasson here with the inane passing and walking football whilst the Yanks are playing through the lines with pace.
