First few pages of this thread are a laugh ‘well I certainly won’t be watching’, ‘England games and that’s it’, ‘I’m boycotting’… most of the same posters have since given a minute by minute running commentary. 😁

I think Spurs might do if Conte leaves at the season if he doesn't get backing he wants.

If Southgate does leave I think he will decide himself. The FA want him to stay on and so do I.

Absolutely no chance of Spurs going for Gareth Southgate.

Morocco have done amazingly well in this world cup but i can't help feeling whoever wins later tonight will win the semi final 3-0

I wouldn’t be too sure about that.

Incredible achievement for Morocco. Whichever of us and France goes through tonight, a semi final against the Moroccans will be very tough.

I'm not often envious but it must be a great feeling to support a team you can be proud of!

Morocco drew with Croatia and have beaten Belgium, Canada, Spain and Portugal, fantastic 👋

In other words punched above their weight. Considering we went in to 1966 as favourites since 1954, England have NEVER caused an upset in a World Cup knockout stage. France would be the first one. That’s what we’re up against.

More “recently” since 1986 we’ve lost every game which has been tight on paper or went in as underdogs - West Germany, Argentina x2, Brazil, Portugal, Germany. Then lost to Croatia last time out as the favourites. We’ve been cheated in some games, robbed in others but we have never ever prevailed as underdogs.

It’s an embarrassing record really. It’s not even like we’ve knocked out a Brazil or Germany in the last 16/quarters then gone a bridge too far losing to an Italy or Argentina in the semis. Every top side we’ve come up against ever we’ve lost to. 1966 aside.

That said never lost to France in a World Cup (I don’t think)

Quite true but I'm not too arsed about Engerland, I was thinking about Rovers.

I have pride in the club but not this team and set up. I always told my kids that I don't care how well you do as long as you do your best.

The kids did me proud but this version of Rovers are an utter shambles and embarrassment.

We've been a penalty lottery away from winning against Big teams. Argentina Portugal Germany.

England and France can do better against them as Spain Portugal play the ball in front of Morocco whereas France and England have pace to get in behind

There’s no  “ getting behind “ with Morocco. They don’t leave that space.

What i mean is when Morocco are going forward u can catch them on the break.  Portugal Spain always slow the play down
