Has Hirst even touched the ball? (hoping to jinx him into getting the equaliser)

I think he's beyond jinxing.

No joke...what type of sticker is Hirst meant to be? Mobile? Target man? Fox in the box? Literally no idea.

Crash and drab

Just absolutely useless.

Szmodics shouldn’t be giving it away as cheaply as that but when he does, clearly has to take the yellow card. Brainless.

People are kidding themselves if they don't believe Dack could operate in Szmodics role tonight, better than Szmodics has done so far.

This is just getting bizarre, we have no right sided outlet and when we make something on the left Brittain and Diaz are next to each other with nobody in the box.

Our keeper was booked for time wasting less than that a few weeks ago.

Where are these refs we've had hurrying every deadball situation.

New breed of goalless striker. Never scores but his sports bra says he’s run around a bit (actually not sure he even does that…)

We are Incredibly boring to watch. Cov will sit back and we will create nothing.

least amount of crosses in the league.

I hark back to simpler times with Wilcox/ripley/duff/Bentley tearing it up

Definitely not a gold shiny one anyway.

Probably one of those you get in every pack and worth sod all for swaps. Like Alan Gowling in the 70s.

What system are we playing? Do our players know what positions they are in??

Simple change is pickering on for A. Wharton and pickering to go LWB and move brittain to RWB.  Smodicz off for dack too..

Brittain might be quality at right back but as a left back he’s defensively poor and ineffective in attack.

I'm a bit confused here. The same Brittain who's won our two corners in this second half and at least one in our first half and had our best chance of the game? (Granted he should've done better with it.)

Oh not one of them? Hard working hassle and harry and gets a free pass for never scoring? No thanks.

Yes I would have done but move to 4-2-3-1 formation

Ye go defensive when looking for a goal  ️and leave the worst player on

We are another good striker away from being a good team. Even when playing badly if we had someone with either a bit of presence, threat of trickery in them, we would be more likely to get a few comebacks. (Dack perhaps could be that person...) As it is we have the most useless back up strike duo in Vale and Hirst since Varney and Brown. Stuffed how anyone thinks these guys are going to be a success

I agree we need a decent back-up striker, but that isn't the reason we play so badly away.

JDT has repeatedly made unfathomable decisions during our pitiful midweek away run, and that has been our downfall.

The players just don't buy into the experiment when they are away from Ewood.

Pickering instead of Vale tonight would have provided some solidity which we would have built from, and at least prevented wave after wave of penetrative attacks from a team that lost at home on Saturday.

There is no way that JDT would ever look at how lowly Blackpool came away from Coventry with 3 points, only 3 days ago.

We may win this, against all odds, but that doesn't change the fact that our starting selection was bloody clueless!!!!!!!

I'm devastated.

A good striker and a couple of fullbacks I'd say.

The ones we have are ok. And a fair few who can do a job there. Maybe another one or a defensive mid to cover when Travis goes full back.

Ok, so maybe one more good option outside of a striker. But I still think a striker is more pressing as these two are so off the pace it's untrue.
