booth Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 No urgency again. Get it forward, then two passes back, lose it. Get it back, 30 passes at the back later long ball it, lose it. Etc. Hedges makes a big difference to the team retaining the ball. Some creativity needed going forward . 1 Quote
booth Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Frustrating to be goalless but even more frustrating to have not forced a save once after 30+ minutes. Quote
J*B Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Breaking the general opinion here but I think we’re playing really well. The conditions are terrible and Huddersfield have 11 players behind the ball. As I’m watching Brereton has taken the ball down on the left wing, he’s our furthest player forward and there’s 6 Hyde GOAAALLLLLLL 4 Quote
roverandout Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Slow build up. Lose it final third. Slow build up lose It in final third. Ad nauseum 1 Quote
Mr. E Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Came on to give the players a right good bollocking and we score on the mark. You can thank me. 1 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Thank fuck for Diaz..now they have to come out a bit and should be able to finish them off Quote

That goal has been coming. Hopefully Huddersfield have to come out now so we can put this game to bed. 1 Quote

I still think we can do better (he's not athletic enough), but he's come on leaps and bounds this season. Credit to the coaching staff, we're seeing the range of passing that he was renown to have now. Quote
J*B Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Sam Barnes on commentary saying the fans turning on Brereton against Preston was the turning point in his career and he started playing more for himself. 2 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted November 5, 2022 Backroom Posted November 5, 2022 Honestly not sure why you'd choose to park the bus against a team who can't recover from conceding the first goal. The only explanation is that they're so awful there's no other way for them to play - so hopefully we'll now bag a few as they'll have no choice but to come at us a little now. Quote
roverandout Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 That's surely a red card. He elbowed Travis Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Screw £15m for Brereton, I'd want £15m for Hedges. 5 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I moaned about the passing but since then some of our balls have been top notch Quote

Miker Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I think I'd take Hedges over Rothwell. Rothwell had some ridiculously good dribbles but too often it just ended nowhere. Hedges' play is quite intelligent in comparison. 1 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Cant complain too much as we are winning and totally dominant. But... Szmodics is.playing right of the last man alongside Gally and Diaz. The space is in the hole. Really feels an ideal game for Dack. Hope we see him for a fair bit. Quote
1864roverite Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 You can only beat what’s in front of you Rovers good for the lead but need to kill the game off Quote
Andy Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Best half we’ve played in a while - we look sharp and every bit a top 6 side, albeit against a very poor Hudds team. Delightful assist from Pickering and very well taken by BBD. Early goal in the 2nd half and it should be a 6th successive home victory and 2 points off whoever is currently sitting top 👍🏻 Quote
rock steady Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Really don't want to see us take it easy protecting the lead and invite late pressure. Quote
