I thought this too. Bit like City did with Foden. Can't argue with it tbh. Hopefully he follows the same career trajectory. 3 Quote
jim mk2 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) Apart from Ayala that's a reasonable team. At least it's not 5 at the back Edited November 5, 2022 by jim mk2 Quote

Probs Hedges right Szmodics at 10 but could be the other way round. Disappointing for Buckley he can't make the bench. If Travis struggles Id have preferred him to be available over Garrett. Main worry is if we revert to pushing all the forwards up and create the big gap between midfield and attack we suffered from a couple of months back. Want to see whoevers at 10 dropping in to make a three like we did so well against Hull. Walked in to pub to see Burnley tubbed 5-2. Lovely! Quote

Can't argue that Scotts had a couple of bad games, but then again the two Wharton's have really helped moving to ball forward with their left feet. Ayala and Travis in instead will move the ball a lot slower and are predisposed to play inside rather than along the left. Could be a bit of an issue. 1 Quote

No but considering hes still adapting, getting to know the players and give the odd person who impressed in training a chance or a well deserved rest, he'll continue to tweak and see what works best. ben_the_beast Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Decent line up and enough in that side to win the game. Diaz on the left. Hedges and Brittain on the right gives us much better balance. Gallagher being back will help too. Fully expecting us to respond with a good performance today. Hopefully that translates into 3 points. 1 Quote
ben_the_beast Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I'd also like to see Dack given 25 minutes at least today. 2 Quote

We shouldn't still need to be doing that in November. JDT should be well aware of his best team and formation by now and only be making minor changes depending on injuries and general form. 2 Quote
Sparks Rover Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Shocking scenes in the Blackburn End, Tescos special offer on the 3 for 2 pints finishes at 2.30pm....what a lad he is... Quote

Whenever there's a weak league, and make no mistake this year it really is, we should make every effort to seize the opportunity as we'll never be up there with the real big spenders. It's easy to say we'll write this season off as a transition, but seeing how poor the standard is I would want us to make every effort to finish in the best possible position. If that comes at the expense of senselessly inverting our wing backs or not playing Vale/Hirst ever again then I can personally deal with that. 2 Quote

ItsRoverZ Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 We need a moment of quality don't we , we are pretty slow in our build up Quote
CAPT KAYOS Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 For me we always seem to huff and puff and struggle to get anything out of games with Huddersfield at home ( a bit like QPR) - think this will be much harder than we expect and fear a draw -hope I'm wrong Quote
roverandout Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 We certainly miss Wharton's forward passing 1 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Lacking any real quality from either side at the minute Quote

ItsRoverZ Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 The passing from some of our players is seriously criminal, you would find better passers in Sunday league ..some of the passes we are misplacing are as basic as they come 1 Quote

He looks for the easy pass every time, which is not what you need from the CM in this system. 2 Quote
