Check out Malmo pre and post JDT...

You mean the most successful team in Sweden? You can't really use them as an example when trying to support his managerial ability. Yeah he done well with them but it's like getting the Celtic or Rangers job and doing well. You don't have to have much about you to be a success there. Not hating just being realistic.

It could but could also be better

Better than the top 6 with a squad most on here think is fairly shite,  a manger not many rate, and owners who are useless?

Based on that there's more chance of things being a lot, lot worse. Careful what you wish for.

With no one coming in at the moment Markanday won't leave

I still reckon Markanday and Gally could make a decent front two pairing.

But they finished seventh after jdt left.

I agree. The football hasn't been great, and the inability to turn a game around is worrying.

But fundamentally there's almost no chance that an alternative would have us higher or better off points wise than we are now.

Make no mistake, despite Broughton we are one step away from another Coyle style appointment. Desperados offering to do the job for low wage and low demands will be all over Brockhall if that job comes up.

Aye, Rovers have also been in talks with several players and none of them signed!  That's football!

Big Sam was never spoken to, sounded out or even on Everton's 2nd or 3rd options list.

Bielsa was the most likely, but he had a change of heart after the face-to-face meetings and Dyche was next on the list.

If you genuinely did waste £50 on Big Sam, you might as well have flushed it down the toilet; same outcome.

And it's not like they'll do their homework and target someone who is doing a great job elsewhere. GB will be tasked with finding an out-of-work manager who they don't have to pay compo for. We may get lucky, we probably won't.

Helsingborg and gothenburg finished even lower and they used to be up there at the top of Swedish football years ago.

The standard here is poor to embarrassing and there are some conference teams in England that would do very well in the Swedish allvenskan.

They won the cup after he left too. Another trophy and success under a different manager.

No one knows what’s going on and certainly don’t know that JDT is unhappy. This thread is mental.

It's a really weird thing for someone to make up; but sadly also not an uncommon thing.

We see it far too often at our club.

Seems you're reaching here pal

Surely with the profile of the number nines we are linked with, it’s soon to be the end of Sam Gallagher. Can’t see a place for him going forward.

it’s so late in the window, there is nothing GB will do to make this window a success which is incredibly frustrating. The midfield is not a top 6 midfield. Not even close.

if we have no money, then Rothwell should have been sold. Ben should have been sold. We now go into the summer with no money and without Ben. And Dack in the last 12 months of his contract, will need to be sold.

Not the most positive time, three wasted windows, with zero money recouped.

I still back GB. I don’t care how hard they worked, you need to get stuff over the line otherwise you fail. This window has been a failure.

What? It's true isn't it? Your point was to imply they were worse off after he left, mine was prove they had success, which they did so not reaching in the slightest.

Yeah, Gallagher has to be sold in summer…. It’s currently looking like Raya possibly leaving in summer is our only hope of having money to spend.

What's the rumoured fee for Raya, did I read £20m? 20% of any profit would leave us with about £3m-£4m

They went from winning the league and making it through to the group stage of the champions league from the first qualifying round to finishing seventh in the league and getting knocked out of the second round of qualifying for the champions league but they did win the cup. Think every one with a pulse would say that it is a drop off in performance

Edit:: Also managed to get less points in the europa league group than they did the championship league group (only one mind)

How on earth can you claim to know about what eggs we've put in what basket? We hardly even hear about the specifics of the eggs these days, let alone what the baskets look like.

On the same token, how the hell can that chart/website know the inner finances of every club int hs championship?

This was said last January about this summer and we spent, not absolute fortunes but money was still spent and we did have the highest net spend.

Still time for one or two to come in ,we must have something to play with hence the bid for Porteous and attempts to bring in Kone,Undav and Gerhaldt we would have been paying a significant portion of their wages we wouldn't have been getting them for nothing

To get a couple of million back for him in summer and his wages freed up would possibly be the smartest move anybody at this club could make.
