are Rovers to blame for that deal failing or is it Brighton fault for Undav deal not happening?

How was it gamble to move for Undav and Kone?

I am confident we will sign a striker before tomorrow deadline.

Yes they will do. They only be together 3 months and I think over the medium to long term we will see the benefits from our recruitment team.

But we have let down twice during this window by 2 different clubs.

Even if we didn’t bring anyone in you’d still defend the club, and if we do bring a striker in and he’s not a good player you’ll say he’s the next ronaldo like you did with Hirst, you were the only Rovers fan who watched Hirst and still rated him and thought he could do a job, thank god the club saw sense and got rid.

There's only one club letting us down and its a bit nearer home.

A bit damning that he doesn't believe it's worth sticking around till the end of the season, to see if we go up.

He obviously doesn't believe it's going to happen as he's signing somewhere else mid season.

And risky injury whilst also not going up?  Take the contract mate

Problems for him if he gets injured. He’s a bit of a bohemian, so no surprise he wants to try his luck elsewhere. Good luck.

Yep, injury is a good shout but then by that logic, he's hardly going to give 100% for the rest of the season.

Isn't that part of a message board function - to speculate, to discuss, to criticise, to praise and many other things. There is no evidence that Tomasson is either happy or unhappy. It's opinion and subject to speculation and discussion. I wouldn't take it so seriously.

I have heard second hand from a staff member that JDT is indeed unhappy, has interest from Germany and is keen to leave. Don't shoot the messenger.

Hate Souttar (remember him - couldn’t afford his wages from Scotland, signed for Stoke instead) is set to move to Leciester for 15M.

We tried for John Souttar who chose Rangers over us (Harry Souttar of Stoke is is brother)

This is my last go-around to be honest. If they mess up this partnership by not supporting JDT (after years of supporting Mowbray and his wasteful signings) then I'll be done.

It's a soulless club now anyway - the town is detached from the club now, you can feel it.

I know that transfers aren’t straight forward and we are very much in the hands of the clubs we are trying to deal with. However, would talking and negotiating with the clubs in Nov/Dec so that’s deals are agreed for the start of January. If we have to wait on them to make a decision then surely we move on to a more certain transfer outcome as the chance of the former coming off is low. Waiting until almost the end of the window smacks of desperation.
I’m probably being very naive about the complexities of player trading but most other clubs on the championship seem to manage it better.

Smart man - if we can't even get a CF in on loan when we're sitting 4th then I shudder to think what the summer is going to look like.

From what I have seen so far I wouldn't be devastated. Yes he is working with maniacs and people of limited ability to put it nicely but his inability to change a game is down to him and him alone.

The reality of how poorly run the club is must now have dawned on he new Head Coach and DOF.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the former leave, whereas Broughton is essentially a nobody within the game, so will likely stick around and tuck in to the all you can drink gravy.

No, probably not, I have never said otherwise, it is just unfortunate. But that would not be an excuse to not bring in a striker at all.

Youve even said yourself that we should have a big shortlist of potential strikers, if those 2 are eventually unobtainable, surely there is no reason not to get one of the others on the list. That is something you just bat off because you cant bring yourself to critique Broughton and co.

He was an 11th hour appointment by Rovers when they were running out of options for cheap yes men and he probably only took it because it was pitched to him.  At no point have i heard he applied for the job or was interested in it before so when you fish in those ponds you know very little about each other until you work together.
