There is zero reason for the O’Brien deal not to have happened. Wasn’t he having his medical late afternoon?! All fingers will quite rightly point to our sheer incompetence if we didn’t get that one done. Once again.

Nixon is saying that as there’s an option to buy clause in the loan deal, the paperwork side is longer. If it falls through, it will be that which we haven’t agreed/sorted that part in time, I’d imagine.

Could it not be that O’Brien is done but didn’t have media ready which is getting done today. Other deals were late so waiting for EFL paperwork to go through. All to be announced today?

Sneaky feeling Dack might be moved up front again in a "false 9" seeing as we haven't got a striker.

No indications that will happen. We haven't employed that, to date. Dack will be kept where he is, and it'll be Gallagher up front.

While a striker would have been nice, and was clearly planned, there are promising signs from Dack that he is going to be our new go-to man for the goals, especially with Brereton Diaz's poor form. Furthermore, let's not forget that we've signed a creator in Sorba Thomas. Our strikers have been poor so far this season, but I'd like to think that their service will be improved upon for the second half of the season.

Why arnt they telling us that though, if not advising us not to worry. It’s just poor communication full stop.

Sharpe has already stated that the club are waiting on the EFL to ratify the two deals. We don't really need to second guess anymore, thank God.

What we do need to know, is why did we leave it that late again.

Would be nice to put a statement out saying what players we are waiting on the EFL to confirm! I see PSG didn’t get a loan because someone at Chelsea forgot to sign the paperwork 😂

Well, they are usually quick enough to post good news. Obviously, there is a complication. Lets just hope it is just EFL admin!

Difficult to believe the EFL are taking so long to ratify.  Think they will have had staff working through the night.

So many deals were done and confirmed so close to the wire.

Longer it goes on then the more unlikely it has happened.

Rovers are waiting on two deals. O'Brien and Brierley. Why are you saying "THE"?
