I understood him to be a centre-back, and while he played there against West Ham and was very good, everybody seems to be putting him at left-back, left wing-back, or midfield. 🤔 Quote

Would be strange to do so now. We have matched up with their midfield 3 and allow Hedges, Gallagher and BBD to play in their positions Quote

Particularly when there's significant pressure involved. That's especially critical in high-emotion games like today. JDT clearly trusts Garrett to put him in ahead of Buckley or Dack, so let's see if that faith is repaid. It goes without saying that I hope he's made the right call! Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Nerves really kicking in now. We just have to show up! Play like we have some away games and we will get a thrashing. Come on!!!! 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Probably as physically strong team we could put out. Come on Rovers #DoTheDingles Quote

From what I have seen, Mola has filled in at center-half, he is much stronger on the left side, as a full-back, wing-back or left sided midfielder. Quote
Crozzy Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I like Garrett on today, I feel like he’s a player who will be up for this and will get stuck in. Hopefully will make midfield stronger for us 1 Quote

USABlue Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Bit of a kick in the nuts for the Whartons. Bit of a gamble with Mola. Played well but is he really ready for this game 2 Quote

I would compare Mola to a left sided Nyambe. Quote
Angry_Pirate Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Could be one of 3 formations. Inverted wing backs with Hedges and Brittain. Travis in a 3. 4 at the back with Mola LB. Travis RWB? With Hedges further up. Benson vs Hedges? Who the F 100% knows. Quote
bluebruce Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Neither Wharton brother starting in the derby against the dingles? Not so sure about that. 2 Quote

His performance getting better as the days go by 😂. Not that decent if Mola and Garrett have forced there way in. Quote
BigBar Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 A Wharton must be injured. He came off against WH didn't he? He obviously isn't too impressed with Scott W lately as he was benched in the last league game too. Would rather both in tbh but we are here now. Quote

davulsukur Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 (edited) JDT loves to spring surprises on us. Mola in at, presumably left back. Switches to a back 4 and midfield 3. Garrett starting, assuming because he likes to stick some proper challenges in. Dare say not many Rovers fans would have put either player in. Let's hope this pays off. Bricking it now and my kids have just stuck Cbeebies on the bloody telly!! Edit: Sharpe saying back 3, which makes Wharton's omission even stranger. Guessing Hedges at RWB and Brittain LWB. OsloRover Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 What are the odds of Garrett getting sent off today? Hope he can keep a cool head. Quote
