I don't know if it's deliberate but their absence today is respected by me. They aren't kicking us when we are down. If that is true then thanks to them.

They’ve both been here a while and are two very valued users. Exactly what this site should be, to be honest. I’d rather they hadn’t, but I hope they’re having a good day. Would love to buy them a drink one day.

Another totally disgusting and unacceptable day in the history of Venky's Blackburn Rovers.

Completely outdone by a club that has everything ours doesn't. Desire, organisation, respect for the fans and most of all pride.

Fuck off Venkys and all your halfwit, repugnant stooges.

Side note, the Dingle Dome looked in good nick on TV.

They probably don’t even know we’ve lost . More interested in the cricket no doubt.

We helped set the tone with Barnes from about the 5th minute. Kaminski going down holding his face after Barnes touched his chest was the start. He was rolling around pretending to be hurt instead of getting aggressive back. The ref, who won’t believe his luck at how few incidents there were, was never going to be fooled by that.

We were completely passive and let Barnes take liberties all game. He flew through one of our midfielders (forget who), which admittedly should’ve been a yellow all day long, but it’d have been really easy to make him regret doing that challenge.

Closest we got to dishing anything out was Ayala while defending a corner and Travis’s unintelligent and pointless booking. We were pathetic in all honesty. Bring Souness and Flitcroft in on a consultancy basis for a week before we play them again, see if they can find anyone with a pair of bollocks in our changing room.

Hedges. Think Barnes needed to cop one early on to show him if he was prepared to dish some, so where we. Sadly no one was up to it.

In one word the root of the problem...

This is a great point. Man City/prime Barca aside, does playing it out from the back yeild any actual benefits for a team?

As you say, for us, it nearly always ends in disaster.

In any case, it certainly doesn't benefit Blackburn Rovers, which is all we care about.

100% agreement. Neither do we have that quality of player nor can we find a plan B when left facing own goalposts with opposition covering all ways out. (kinda made same comment months ago but was shouted down as "embarrassing").

As we get further on into season teams find each other out. Dingles did their homework. As for us testing their keeper with high crosses?? Nothing to say about that unfortunately.

We certainly plumb new depths every season thanks to Venkys.

I’m frustrated by losing 3-0 to our rival, but I’m not sure how todays result was venkys fault.

It's all their fault, every single bit of it. We wouldn't be scrabbling around in the Championship season after season if it weren't for them. The problems that Mowbray left us with, the current issues with the squad, the buck ends with them for allowing it.

It hurts. We didn’t look up for it at all. Soon as Gallagher went off and the nothingness that is Jack Vale came on, it was over.Did he even touch the ball?

What a completely incredulous start to the season. Some decent performances, but more poor ones. Somehow we are 3rd with a 5 point gap to 7th.
We are a bit of mess in truth, and this time off is probably good news for us in the long run. We have to figure out some stuff. The 3-5-2 is okay in some games but today was not the day for it. What an embarrassment the first goal was when you have three 6’4 Centre halves in there vs one striker. The midfield was dreadful today, Morton went fully AWOL, Travis was sluggish and can’t pass a ball, and Garrett isn’t ready. I’ll stop short of calling for Bradley Johnson, but we do need an experienced player in there asap.

Brereton is gonna just have to play through the middle like he does for Chile. This moving out wide-left constantly isnt working. We are not good enough for the tippy-tally game, we need to be direct and have a focal point.

A lot of time now for JDT to figure this out, oh and get Bradley Dack fit and Hedges further forward.

Everything that happens is on the Venkys. They set the tone from the very top. They’re bloody useless and they employ a string of useless people. Then over time we laud mediocrity as if it’s worth celebrating because things might be worse. They didn’t play nor did they chose the ridiculous tactics but the whole rotten saga is on them.

I have not and never will celebrate banal mediocrity. For me I have the same standards every season, promotion back to the Premier League is the bare minimum and anything less is total failure.

Were the club to be under the control of an entity other than Venkys I will revisit that opinion but as things stand, and have stood for 12 years, I will not be changing my position. They are to blame. They are responsible.

Gallagher was the turning point. As I just said to J*B privately, it was like a lightbulb went off within every Burnley player, everyone over the top lads, just keep Brereton quiet and they won't score.

And we do need some experience in midfield. Just someone to put their foot on the ball, dictate the pace of the game and pick a pass. The only one of them that can do it is 18.

I think tippy tappy is here to stay sadly, this is JDT's "project" come what may.

Having been around here longer than most, one of them said some pretty disgusting things about the death of Jack Walker when he first arrived on the site.

Buying him a drink? No ney never.

Just for a bit of balance.

Worked out quite well for Burnley today

They do it how it's supposed to be done though crisp quick passes yards OUTSIDE their own box.  They also have outlets wide and up top for a long ball. What we try is schoolboy stuff by comparison.

They can't go wrong this season imo as they have a bit of everything, what we saw today was some of the footballing ethos Kompany is drilling into them plus the odd drop of the Dyche direct physical style.

B@stards !

No indication that Jdt has any intention og changing anything. Will persist with teenagers in midfield who are out of their depth and pointless dwitching of wingbacks. Brereton and perpetually injured Gallagher are thr only goal threats. The lower end of the table beckons.
