Miller11 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Sunderland look to move up the pitch every time they get the ball. They move forward and pass forward. Our first instinct is to put a foot on the ball and go backwards, occasionally sideways. 3 Quote

RoversClitheroe Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Morton is absolutely woeful 4 Quote
benhben Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 We've been properly shit this half. Forwards haven't had a touch and the midfield has been miles off it. Midfield has to be a focus in January. Said it for ages we don't have enough power or energy in there. That's the weak point of this side. 6 Quote
LDRover Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 We just aren't competing anywhere on the pitch, a yard behind and 2nd to everything. Got to start playing in their half and take it from there, we're an absolute liability when we try to play in our half. Quote

Dack hasn’t - even before the ACLs - been capable of magic out of nowhere. If he isn’t getting service (because we can’t keep the ball) then it’s almost useless playing him. I know and I agree, think if he is to keep his place, which is what I want, he needs to alter his game a little. Get on the ball and make things tick, he has the brain to do it. Morton has actually been ok in the middle and put himself about a bit too. Got the assist too, Buckley a complete passenger whose only contribution was conceeding a penalty. Needs replacing even if it's with the out of form and limited Travis. Quote

It is so biased, every single time. Never been one to think there’s a bias against us but Goodman seems to have a real dislike for us, the bit about Hedges felt very pointed 1 Quote
moerpho Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Let’s hope Sunderland is a typical Mowbray team that won’t turn up in 2nd half before Tony destroys them with his subs…..only chance to win this 2 Quote

roverandout Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 20 seconds left. Everyone up top so ayala kicks it straight to kaminski. Typical of the performance 2 Quote
matt83 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 That was a bloody tough watch. On the plus side Moggadon only managed 1 half of football here so they might for the taking in the 2nd half. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 What a complete waste of a free kick that was. 1 Quote

Well we'll have to do it with the players on the pitch because there's nowt on our bench to make a difference. Quote
Wheelton Blue Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 What a dreadful game of football, devoid of quality from both sides. Quote

ItsRoverZ Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 BBD struggling to get into the game today, has struggled a few games now. Maybe time for markandy to come on and make a difference? Don't know who we bring on to control the middle, don't think garret is ready 1 Quote

We create nothing and either grind out a fluke and sit on the lead or we get smacked about without a hope. It's amazing they even show us tbh. 3 Quote
Paul Mellelieu Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 We defended well enough..... 1 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Markanday on for me. Only player we have on the bench with the ability to change a game. 2 Quote

I think that assessment is based on hope rather than anything. He’s produced very little in his admittedly limited opportunities. I think he will get eaten alive here. The system is far more of a problem at the moment than the personnel. We aren’t even giving Brereton anything to run on to. Gallagher hasn’t had a header to contest. Dack hasn’t seen the ball in the final third. 2 Quote
moerpho Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Could be a good game for young Garrett perhaps? Can’t do worse than Buckley and at least shows some aggression. Our midfield have been pitiful. Still think we might win this as we only need one flash of brilliance up top as their defence is nothing to worry about. 2 Quote
