The last football of 2022 will see Boro travel to Ewood and will of course include Darragh Lenihan in their ranks. The current form table doesn’t make for pretty reading and places Boro as favourites.

Will Rovers have any fit strikers ? Will we have any actual shots ?

Another gripping Live On Sky evening in prospect…

Think we will loose this one.

Unsure what the starting 11 will be but I’d maybe change it up in the midfield.

kaminksi

JRC Hyam Ayala pickering

Markanday Buckley, A Wharton

                  Dack

        Gallagher Diaz

We've lost 4 in 5; they've won 5 in 7 if I remember right

All the signs point to another defeat

On the other hand it often pays to be contrary so I'm going 2-1 Rovers

And @MashedPotatotes gets his spuds boiling at the prospect

2-1 to Rovers.

We are at home and BBD and/or Dack will score. They are overdue.

That's unless Bradley is in the naughty boys corner for shaking his head and looking less that chuffed when being stupidly subbed.

My team

            Kaminski

JRC  Hyam  Ayala  Pickering

   Buckley Garrett Morton

Hedges  Gallagher  BBD

No Dack after being one of our better players v Sunderland and the inclusion of Gallagher who stunk the place out.

Morton’s defensive midfield play was also lamentable. He needs resting. That’s if JDT is allowed to rest him.

Travis. Probably half a mind to pass it around at the back when with 4 minutes to go he should booted it clear into the stands.

Can only see one outcome.

Carrick has shown he's got what it takes both in his few matches as United's caretaker and since going to M'boro.

Knows the English game and has a football intelligence.

Finished with Rovers.  If our owners, executive management,  manager and players don't care or bother, and embarrassing capitulations to Burnley and PNE suggest to me they don't, then why the feck should I.

Could be embarrassing - M'boro by 3 or 4 goals to 1

Think we might end up going back to 352 for this as we continue to struggle to impose ourselves on games.

                    Kaminski

        Hyam.    Ayala.   S Wharton

JRC.    Travis.   Buckley.   A Wharton.  Pickering

                 Gallagher.   BBD

So that's what he is! I've often wondered .......

Something odd going on with team selections - I had thought that the line-up against the Mackems was quite attack-oriented, but we only ended up attacking ourselves.

There is something definitely amiss with young George Hirst, and no way should he feature anywhere near the first team again. Perhaps we are short of a few players? Perhaps there are strict rules for plodding loanees? Perhaps someone else is doing the teamsheet, but it just doesn't stack up to have a dolloper like that as a choice of 'potential game-changer' from the bench, except of course if the plan is to throw games (and the fans) under a bus.

On to Thursday. Football is all about confidence and consistency. Something Boro unfortunately appear to have in spades at the moment. We will be fortunate on current form alone to emerge with anything other than turkey treatment (a proper basting). Here's hoping we come out smelling of Roses, rather than giblets.
