roverandout Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Ayala does brilliantly then does the usual rovers thing by trying to play it out from the back 1 Quote

Bethnal Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) I’ve cracked open a beer, in the hope that it remains an enjoyable watch. Boro are pushing their luck with this high line. Don’t look familiar enough with it to execute. Edited December 29, 2022 by Bethnal 1 Quote

WacoRover Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Hackney… is he trying to get a 2nd yellow? I’m not getting this one on tv, so no idea why he’s racking up the fouls. Quote
Bethnal Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Genuinely pleased to see JRC playing well. Fully assumed he was finished. Some really lovely stuff being played around and in their box. Not sure why it seemed so much more difficult against Sunderland but fluency is much higher here. 4 Quote

BigBar Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Im pro Gally. Another striker is required but there is a space in the team/squad for Gally imo. 3 Quote

roverandout Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Dack is another one that does nothing Quote

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 29, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted December 29, 2022 Bit of a strange half, this. Thought they were well on top until we scored, then that really deflated them until pretty much when they hit the bar. We have definitely been a lot better than Boxing Day though thankfully. I’d expect a big improvement from them second half though, they won’t be that poor again. 2 Quote

JohnD Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Put a good shift in there, that's all I ever ask and is the minimum I expect. Hope we don't rue the missed chances. Quote

waynerovers Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Loving this Ifollow commentary, they sound like two guys who went out on piss last night and turned up to work still smashed. Commentator 1 'what's ben like as a personality? Sam 'Oh yeah Ben, he's just weird' 🤣' 3 Quote
Andy Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Really good first half, against a very much in-form team. JRC has been really good again, Pickering continuing to be consistently solid on the other side also. I’d have Adam Wharton in instead of Morton, if I’m honest, but I think Bucko has been very good tonight - see the difference between how comfortable he is on the ball and his vision versus when Travis plays there. And Dack’s quality shows every time he plays. Thought large chunks of the play in that half were a lot easier on the eye than a lot of performances this season; hopefully that’s JDT’s style starting to finally show. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Best performance from us in ages... Way better than Norwich. We are passing the ball really well, Buckley has been superb as has JRC. Defensive pair so good. Dack has been very involved. Gallagher has done well but equally if we had a player with his athleticism but the ability to finish we would be at least one or two more up. Wonder if Carrick will make some major tactical changes as we are owning them on the counter attack 2 Quote
