RoverCanada Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 JRC turning into the feel-good story of the season. I'm not, like, his dad, but I feel weirdly proud of him. 9 Quote

Mashed Potatoes Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 You have to wonder if JRC's long term future might be in central midfield rather than back up right back as he seems to have many of the qualities that we need in there. 2 Quote

I'm sure he played in a more forward role in the U23s during his development. Good to see he's stepped up to the plate in place of Brittain. Who knows? Brittain may have to fight his way back into that spot rather than it being a given. Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Brittain watching JRC become prime cafu and now shitting himself about getting back into the lineup Quote

I was thinking the same myself so you must be wrong 😂 2 Quote
BigBar Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Jesus, George Friend still on the go. Always rates him at Boro and wanted us to sign him loads of times. Quote

When he first came through he often played further up if memory serves me right? Sometimes in midfield, and very occasionally wide right attack. In the old, regular Nyambe vs JRC debate, he was often praised for being far better going forward (this was prior to his long term injury) Edited January 28, 2023 by superniko Quote

What is his natural position? An attacker? Quote
Dan Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Anyone else recall the Inbetweeners when they hear Birmingham’s Friend mentioned? “Ooh friend” 😂 3 Quote

That was where he started wasn't it - at least as a wide right attacking player until the tactical genius that was Mowbray decided he'd be better off at full back. Quote
Guest Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 JRC venturing a little more forward and ordering Morton to stay in his position. 😆 Confidence! Quote
Miker Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Well-deserved goal for JRC! I genuinely thought he was done at this club, but he was given another chance and he's taken it with both hands Quote
lraC Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Very pleased for the lad. Like Buckley he has had his doubters but JRC is certainly turning things around 1 Quote
superniko Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 First time we’ve taken the lead since going behind all season I think isn’t it. Might even be the first time we drew level after conceding! 2 Quote

I believe Joe was the one that choose it from IKEA. 1 Quote
BigBar Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Don't think JRC is mobile or quick enough to play in the middle of the park. Quote
