Pears has been steady again, like the look of Thomas already and Trav has been busy. Dack doing Dack stuff and Dolan showing why he’s far better than Vale up top. I also wouldn’t swap either of of current CBs for that Porteous lad, never mind Hyam or Ayala. No loss there at all. 1 Quote

Ah Porteous looks good, to be fair. He's just clearly a tosser. 2 Quote

I can't be doing with the fuzzy commentary I'm getting. Same. I've tried tuning into the frequency which Chaddy posted earlier, it's a no-go for me. It;s not available through BBC online. Quote
OsloRover Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Heartening performance, it’s like watching rovers again. Brereton needs benching though, every touch is a disaster now 1 Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 What we don’t want to do is sit back and let them back in the game this 2nd half - We need to get at them from the off. 2 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 we`ve never really been under any pressure, keep it up rovers🙂 Quote

Bags of energy, putting himself about, linking play up with little flicks when he can and holding the ball up when it comes to feet. So much better than Vale, but he's still not a CF. He's the best option we have though. 3 Quote

BigBar Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Decent half bar a few shaky moments...be nice to hold on for the win and get a few more bodies back for the run in and see how we go. Quote

Mowbray used to say JRC's best position was wide left. Think that's where he played a lot in the youths. JRC has said he's see's himself as a FB though. Quote

jim mk2 Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Take Brereton off and strengthen the midfield. Hedges maybe. Let Dolan and Thomas chase around up front. 3 Quote
Angry_Pirate Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 (edited) Good so far. Imagine what this team could do if they weren't so rank bad on the transition. I've lost count of the number of times (per game) I'm perplexed and annoyed at the lack of directness on a counter. Be it underhit or incorrect passing (like Dolan multiple times today already) or just going safe, sideways or backwards. Edited February 11, 2023 by Angry_Pirate Quote

BigBar Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Need to grind this out 2nd half. Hedges energy could be useful. Wonder what Brittany has in the tank? We will need to close these down early and get amongst them. 1 Quote

You've just said that it's a Mowbray-esque move to take a winger and play him upfront. Make your mind up. 1 Quote
Sweaty Gussets Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 That was Bradley Dack's 50th league goal for Rovers in his 152nd appearance. Some strike rate that for an attacking mid. 1 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Davis tore us apart last season - not happy with this sub. Quote

Chasing around up front in a 4-4-2 is not playing as a number 9. As an ex-winger myself I used to enjoy it. Quote
Colt Seavers Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Our powderpuff midfield is causing too much stress on our back line. We need some resilience in there. its only a matter of time in the 2nd half until we concede unless we add some bite in the middle 2 Quote
