Went to this match last year on almost the exact same date - a turgid 0-0 draw IIRC in which Brereton got injured and effectively scuppered our play-off hopes

We're mulling going again if tickets are available although (albatross warning) I haven't seen Rovers get a point away from home this season yet.

WBA will be smarting from their defeat to their brummie neighbours (Big Club) so I feel this will be a struggle for us, even though I thought the same about Watford. In the end we got lucky at Vicarage Rd, and held on. At the Hawthorns it might be harder, particularly if we go behind.

Heart says another draw.

Head says likely defeat.

A narrow defeat seems nailed on.

WBA 1 Rovers 0

Flip of a coin between him and Hedges. I don't think he has been great in his first 2 games and his set pieces have been surprisingly poor. Hopefully more to come but I would be tempted to put Hedges back in.

No Vale in your squad?

What's Vale done to warrant a game of football for the First XI ever again?

Given the lack of striking power you'd wonder why we have 2 wingers in the first place. Its a squad collected without plan.

A while back it was the defence that was sub-par, we hardly had any centre-backs and we were making do at full-back. Now we've remedied that but have nothing up front!

Its going to be one long journey!

Thomas was our only attacking threat against Wigan and was involved in the build up to our goal against Watford. No chance I would consider benching him before a Brereton Diaz who has been out of sorts for weeks and even months.

Baggies 1 Super Steven Reid's (the player nobody really thought much of at the time unless he was injured and is now a demi-god) Blackburn Rovers 2

How many times have we gone into games confident of winning and fallen flat on our face. Rovers are far to inconsistent for me to predict a result. With Thomas a decent winger from what iv'e seen, I would play Gallagher or Diaz alongside Dack.
