Highly unlikely, taking family on holiday instead.

Given my health, I wanted to have some great days with the kids at football next season and make some memories. we'd made the decision all five of us was going.

Then the ticket prices came out,  "the one pay day early bird" and that put paid to that.

So i've opted to take them all on a memorable holiday.

Its been very tough these last few weeks, but i'm determined to get on that plane, and out of principal a renewal is very low on my "to do list"

I've been going on rovers for over 40 years, renewed my season ticket season upon season despite the shit show of Venkys,  I think i've shown my loyalty throughout.

At no point have  I ever considered walking away, however i aint paying more for my season ticket, because i didn't renew before the last ball was kicked last season. Where is the loyalty from the club?

I’m sorry to hear about your health and I hope you have a great holiday with your family.

No one can question your loyalty to our club, you’ve done more than most over the past decade in support of it.

To answer your question (which I know was rhetorical) sadly I don’t think there is any loyalty from the club - well not from ‘those in the suits’ anyways.

Season Ticket Estimate

Latest: 8,523 (+21)

Notes:

  • The estimate is based upon the total number of saleable seats to home supporters (18,210), minus the amount of unavailable (sold) seats.
  • (+xx) represents the difference in season ticket sales from the previous estimate (usually 24 hours).
  • 159 seats in block W01 are marked as unavailable (sold), but are not saleable due to being cordoned-off. These are therefore excluded from the season ticket estimate.
  • 376 seats for supporters requiring ground-level font-row access are marked as unavailable (sold), but appear to be block-reserved rather than fully sold. These are therefore excluded from the season ticket estimate.
  • A seat is marked as unavailable for up to 28 minutes when added to the basket. It is not possible to exclude these from the estimate.

But they haven't used the early bird prices which most fans bought it.

With it being pay day for a lot of people who haven't bought one yet so we could reach 9500 by the time they go off sale at

Let's be honest, 9,500 would be a slightly less dire outcome than the current 8,500.

It says everything about the dumbing down of the operation when these numbers are being lauded as a success.

I think they are up with or even higher than what they had for most seasons in their Premier League Okocha/Hierro/Campo et al heyday…yet now they are in the *third division* but yeah no proof a substantial price cut makes a difference 🙄

No it's just that they have great fans and we don't, nothing to do with the massive increase in gates coinciding with big ST price cuts.

Whilst ours slid year on year with year on year hikes, between two clubs whose gates were very similar for decades before but now sit miles apart despite the division difference.

Nothing to see here at all.

If we can get 9,500 and that is increase of 800 from the previous figure when ST stop being sold before the 18 games ST from last season. we keep to pushing the number forward for sure

Aside from the club social media, there is zero advertising, in the town, around the town or anywhere else in fact, including around the ground.

Once there would be posters everywhere.

They are not even advertising in the LT or Lancs Live, both of which survive on ads.

If you didn't already follow Rovers  you wouldn't even know we exist. So not sure how the numbers will ever grow.

I myself have had no exposure at all to ST marketing and am only aware by reading this thread.

I think that could be a potential issue.

Embarrasing strategy really.

Let’s see what happens when Swag finally fecks off, many ways to skin a cat when it comes to hitting a revenue target. We know what his is - milk the 8/9k for as much as he can get away with, bugger growing the fanbase, he’s a bonus to grab. A new broom on the commercial side could well go down another route… though he’s on the cushiest number of his long and undistinguished career here - so why would he leave? 😒

The attitude in recent years seems to have been look this is the price come if you want otherwise fine we aren't bothered.

Then there is dismay at night games in Nov/Dec when the place is eerie and at the tail end of the season they are practically begging people to come with cheap tickets.

Critical thinking is absent without leave down there.

The point being that even the dizzy heights of 9.500 - should we get there - is woefully embarassing considering what is happening elsewhere.

A few on here attempting to rewrite history by making out that there was no point making a comparison as they are a ‘bigger club’ was embarrassing.

The lengths and depths that some people will go to in a desperate bid to avoid attaching any sort of blame or responsibility on the Club or anyone working at it is embarrassing. They'll massage the numbers and try to rewrite history rather than just face the uncomfortable truth.
