I feared the worst when Hedges missed that absolute sitter. The gods smiled on us at the end when that header hit the post but we’d earned a bit of luck.

These are the sort of moments I am telling my son about. I am an old school fan, my lad has only just got into football recently (he is 10),so have been telling him about all the great players/moments from the past, so when nights like this happen, it's great to see him being enthusiastic about Blackburn and how unpredictable and great football can be. Yeah, it's not a cup final or a premier league win, but it's a win against a premier league team, which he didn't expect. Loved it.

Fantastic to see the effort and application the players put in tonight, hopefully gives them belief in a few big league games coming up. 
 

As a side note, that’s probably worth another 0.5m just for getting through, so at least 1m more than we probably budgeted for by getting this far. That’s massive for a club like us trying to manage FFP.

For some of the younger posters on here, imagine battering teams like Premiership Leicester week in week out like we used to, filling away ends, 20k/30k at home, the town was buzzing.

If we get United at OT or Spurs away, it will literally be millions once TV money is added into the equation. Not trivial.

 

Obviously Fleetwood at home would be nicer though!

Gally was superb tonight. Goes under the radar how much work he does. And SS is proving to be a shrewd purchase. Can't say I was that impressed before his spell out of the side, but like other players he's come back far better after being left out.
