Agree with all of those except Smod who id rank higher, likely a 7 and maybe even an 8. Must be hard having Morton behind you and Gally in front. Brilliant engine and great goal.

Yeah thought Sammie played well... First half he was quiet but second he defiantly came more into the game. Overall he has climbed leaps & bounds these past few months…Great player!

Mm, it was really close if he was. I thought he was waiting for a pass that went slightly forward. I suppose VAR had the slide rule on it.

Its the red card that gets me. Why is this different from Robertson's yellow??

Agree with most on here regarding the subs. A change was needed as the game was much to open, but felt the problem was the numerical disadvantage in midfield. Esther than going 5 at the back would rather have seen us sacrifice Szmodics or Gally for a deeper midfielder. Garret or A Wharton would have helped balance the field without sitting too deep.  Our high press was pretty unsuccessful all afternoon so  setting a lower line of confrontation for the last 10+ min made sense.

Hi all, I wanted to check to see if anyone knows how Sheffield United reached an agreement with the EFL whereby if their player already has a yellow card they can't receive another card (of any colour) in the same game, no matter how bad their next tackle is?

Seems a really useful agreement to have... that along with the one they have in place where they can do whatever they want in the transfer market without any real consequences and a possible promotion?

Did they reach this agreement with the same EFL that wanted to know what happens, if we get promoted, sign a player, then get relegated 3 times, what happens to that player in 4 years time?

Thanks in advance

SPOT ON

We have much bigger games coming up, proud of the team and JDT, just wasn’t to be.
Would be much more annoyed if yesterdays result didn’t go as well as they did. Rest and a break needed.

Would be delighted to get those pricks in the first round of the playoffs.

I’d like to know why in one game a handball is a pen and a yellow card and in another game a handball is a pen and a red card ? Maybe Arbitro can help us.

I haven't seen the Rovers one back, in truth in real time I didn't even see the handball. The Fulham one denied an obvious goalscoring opportunity as the ball was going into the goal when Willian handled it which in law is a red card. I can only assume Robinson wasn't sent off because his keeper was behind him therefore not a clear goalscoring opportunity but as I said I haven't seen it back

I thought this. Gallagher looked very leggy to me most of this game. I do remember early doors him sliding they keeper while kicking and seeing him look like he was struggling for a couple mins so I wonder if that had any bearing

He must have a limp every game

Just had the courage to post. I was so disappointed.

Every single one of them, the players and manager deserve praise tonight. I thought they were all superb. Rovers were the better team pretty much throughout IMO.

Ive given rovers a fair bit of criticism this season and rightly so. Today was the best performance for a long time. Can’t remember being has impressed as I was today.

Im not going to criticise JDT either. He’s the one that got us here. As for his subs giving the initiative to Sheff Utd, well it did, but if we were to be honest you could really point to a squad stretched to the limits.

Says it all really.

Despite the obvious disappointment, the town should be loud and proud tonight.

Those players were tremendous today against a side that has been assembled for 10's of millions £££, most of which hasn't been paid, so administration could be looming for the cheating bastards in red and white.

Onwards and upwards.

Now that I’ve slightly calmed down - Re Morton: in fairness, his run and pass set Gallagher up for the shot that led to the penalty and his tackle created the second goal. I don’t understand what he was playing at for their goal but I think the change in shape/subs cost us more.

Overall, this will take a while to get over but proud of the effort. Getting pumped by City in the Semis wouldn’t have been enjoyable and this will hopefully galvanise the squad for the final run in.

The defeat is never that bad when the team plays with some bollocks.

That's all I've asked for really, we've a good side and I think can beat anyone in this division if we play with some fire.

That’s it! It would feel a whole lot worse if we rolled over like we have done in the past…

Holy shit - rewatching the match on a recording. Did McCoist really say all that nonsense for the penalty. What on earth is he on about the senile muppet. Only explanation is that he had no replays to watch. These guys get paid for this commentary / punditry.
