NeilInBristol Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Hi all starting a thread after some really helpful tips from fellow rovers fans (VPN/ talk sport/ address change on bbc sounds) all none of which are helping me listen to my beloved rovers from down here in Bristol. for tech reasons Bbc sounds won't let me listen to bbc lancs live when a game is live, so am looking for some ideas/ tips, any suggestions fellow rovers fans? many thanks all Neil in Bristol Quote

Aqualung Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Your best bet would be to set up an account via Rovers official website. They offer RoversTV where you can watch live games (providing they haven't been selected for the main game on sky sports) and they offer live commentary. This is available even if a game is on sky sports. There is a fee of course. £10 for a match day pass and £4.50 for the audio commentary. There is also a season pass but for the amount of times rovers have been selected for live sky coverage its not value for money imho. Im in Sweden BTW and I know what you are experiencing regarding BBC radio Lancashire. They aren't allowed to broadcast rovers games live if sky sports are involved. Not here in Sweden anyway. Good luck. 1 Quote

GHR Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Off topic a bit but I wonder what is the furthest distance a Rovers season ticket has lived from Ewood? Didn't we have a new-ish member on here who bought one and lived in Hertfordshire? 1 Quote

The season after we won the premier league I was studying at Preston but had to travel from what was then home (Buckinghamshire) for non term time matches. That was a round trip of 360 miles Edited March 15, 2023 by wilsdenrover 2 Quote
