only2garners
He came on early due to the injury to Guehi. On the BBC website, notwithstanding his early mistake, he got the highest individual score from Palace fans, admittedly in a very poor set. Upside Down
Is it really that surprising? We all have known for the last two years he's world class. It's yet another example of just how shit this club is being run by the Rao family. It's January and we're struggling. Any offers that didn't begin with a 3 should have been told to fuck off. Instead the club accepts the first offer they got and have already spaffed it into the black hole. Let's get the Raos out of Rovers.
riverholmes
He got criticised by Hodgson for losing the ball for the goal - but, as mentioned, got highest individual rating for Palace from users on BBC website. Just based on the highlights, I thought he might’ve given the attacker too much space in the pass that led to another goal. It will be interesting to see how he does and whether he gains maturity to dominate games. We know he’s good on the ball and Palace have quite a few players like that but lack defensively, it seems. Torgeir
He's pretty good off the ball too, but he'll have to develop both aspects of his game if he's to become a major player in the PL. Give him a couple of years and he'll have the complete package and be a regular in the England squad.

NeilInBristol
Not surprised by the fact all mayhem has erupted around the club after Wharton leaves, the club are very good at their distraction techniques
islander200
Hodgson gave him a bit of praise too and seemed impressed by his overall performance

j166429
They've been playing for 15 minutes, I think Wharton has touched the ball twice so far

First start, big game, on the telly, so not surprised. Definitely not a game for Palace to play to his strengths, either

j166429
Yes he's been more involved. Decent pass forward, which almost set up a half chance. Palace are obviously happy to play the waiting game.
B16Rover
The Chelsea Bob Marley chant is mind numbing quietly efficient so far for Adam. Not setting the game alight yet but doesn't look out of place considering there's allegedly a player worth 5x him opposite him
TonyM
I hope it works out for him, and sure it will, but looking a bit lost in the game tonight.
Trinidad Rover
Shown his ability on the ball. Pace of the game quicker than he is used to but he will be just fine. Palace fans love him already.

I don't think so at all, maybe the first 20, but he grew into the game, didn't have many touches as Chelsea had all the possession, on the rare chance he did get it, he played a few of his trademark positive first time forward passes. He does like that high looping one that bends inside the full back. But yes, as @simongarnerisgod said, he should have been racing back to close down Gallagher, shame that... I do think as someone else has said, the game is a lot quicker than what he's used to. Neville on comms was impressed, is that good or bad?!!?? BankEnd Rover
Not sure what game you were all watching? He had great game, played a lot deeper than normal and was very disciplined. Some lovely sequences and made some great passes. 8/11 duels won, 6 Tackles, 3 interceptions 2 key passes breaking play - not bad comparing to the value of the lads he was playing against The feedback from palace fans is all positive with a lot of other teams admiring him - in around 18 months we will have a serious sell on fee coming our way. Miller11
Only managed to bring myself to watch a couple of minutes of it. Still too gutting to see him in another teams shirt just yet.
tomphil
A 19 yr old kid with less than a seasons full championship games under his belt starting for a struggling Prem club, a massive step up. Palace fans and various other fans and media outlets complimenting his performance, obviously taking all things into account. Never let it be said Rovers have a jury....
pick32
Palace fans seem to think he is the best player on the pitch, with even a few tipping him to move this summer and get an England shout

Agreed. His positional awareness off the ball first half completely shut down their midfield, Chelsea had to start playing down the sides second half to get any joy at all. Natural football IQ.
