Woodgate had the worst real madrid debut in history lol. An own goal and a red card

Pinged beautiful passes all over the pitch, longer range than Wharton. Could have won far more England caps, but for the obsession with Gerrard and Lampard. Some Rovers fans should take their blue and white tinted glasses off. Wharton is very good but has a long way to go before he gets near the standard of Carrick. 3

We seem to ignore these kind of players with England. Hoddle was another criminally underused

I remember listening to Dean Saunders speaking. Somebody asked him who was the best player he ever played with. He said Paul McGrath right away. He said his knees were that bad he could hardly train at all but come Saturday he was ready for anything. I went to "An evening with DS" last year, he said exactly the same.

For some reason everyone is convinced that he's a world class box-to-box midfielder and he just doesn't have it in his locker - as the above clip highlights. £100m for him was insane too. No player is worth 100 million. I would have said rice was probably worth 70 million tops but he's progressed into a far more complete midfielder since joining arsenal
Popular Post den
He’d have left Rovers at some point - but at the first opportunity, to the only buyer, at such a low fee, when he was happy to stay. what a bunch of tossers. None of them should be in football.
Tyrone Shoelaces
12 months after we gave him away for £18 Million they’re talking about a £70 Million deal in the summer. Why aren’t the chicken chokers firing whoever agreed to that deal ? Edited March 4 by Tyrone Shoelaces

Balaji: Good news, I just got off the phone to Suhail - he said another team ummm, FC Crystals, want to buy someone called Andy Wharton from us. Listen to this; he's only 20, from the Academy... and they're offering £18m! Madame Desai: £18m?! Wow seems a lot for a player, he must be good yes? Balaji: Hahaha no! I just searched him on Googles, and guess what? He doesn't even score loads of goals... he's rubbish! Madame Desai: He doesn't even score loads of goals? Ha, yes very rubbish. Quick accept the money - go tell Suhail! Balaji: Already told him. Suhail says we don't have to send money from my party fund to the Club now... get Akon on the phone, i'm throwing another! Madame Desai: Another party? You just had one this weekend! Whatever... *Venkatesh walks in eating a pakora* Balaji: Hey Venkatesh, you hear that about Alex Wharton? £18m to Crystals? Venkatesh: No, is this about the uh Football Team we own.. Blackburns? Balaji: Yes about the Blackburns.. Venkatesh: Oh okay! Wow £18m, does he score loads of goals? Balaji: *smirking* no... he's rubbish hahahaha! Venkatesh: Nice hahaha, Venky's 1 Crystals 0.

I don't know if this is correct, but someone on here, said we have a 15% sell on clause. Accepting the fact that we were desperate to sell him, given the problems with funding us, then surely a bigger sell on clause should haven been agreed. I think most fans expected him to kick on at Palace, so even the dim wits running the show, could see that and maybe 25- 40% would at least make it look like someone did at least a decent job.

Maybe we should maybe not. only Palace was interested and signed him, We will get another 5-10 mil with the sell on clause Rovers need the money from his sale to fund the club losses that season and this one
