arbitro Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Last night's referee was due to be fourth official at Nobbers on Saturday but he has been replaced this morning. I think it's a sensible decision as his mere presence could have been inflammatory. 5 Quote

Having worked there for the best part of 30 yrs all the good pubs have gone and those that remain will not allow away fans in ! You'll be able to drink in most pubs in town. The only home fans only pubs are on Meadow Street. Abeerinpreston on Twitter usually lists the best pubs to drink in. Last night's match was a bit of rollercoaster. Lowe got the team selection wrong totally, but the second half we looked better after the necessary changes were made. I'm sure the EFL will be reviewing the fight footage today, so hoping there will be no retrospective bans for any of the players involved. Hoping for a good game on Saturday with both of us needing wins! Quote

den Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I expect North End to give Wharton a kicking. A new challenge for the lad. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) Let’s hope he doesn’t just walk off and go and play on his XBOX. Edited April 20, 2023 by Mattyblue 5 Quote
roversfan99 Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 One of my favourite things about Wharton is that (in game at least, allegedly) for such a slight kid, socks rolled down, he puts his foot in. 1 Quote

Yep, he isn’t afraid of putting his foot in, unlike the Liverpool loanee. 1 Quote
Ianrally Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 One of the impressive things I like about Adam Wharton is that he knows where he is going to pass the ball before he actually gets it himself. The sign of what could and should become a great player. 4 Quote

Ossydave Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 No booze pre match or at half time there'll be congestion before the game with people leaving it late, really smart call from the police Quote

Yeah agree. We will now end up trying to time it so we get on almost at kick off, whereas we would have certainly been early and had a burger or something. Half time I get, but don’t encourage people to come early and then give them a reason not too. Edited April 20, 2023 by Hasta Quote
M_B Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Just reading Pne forum, they're not one bit confident. It's looking like a sell out though. Quote
roversfan99 Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 Just going to encourage congestion now. Stupid decision. Quote
Ossydave Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Well they've conceded 6 goals in their last 2 games, not ideal prep, they ought to bear in mind how few we score though.... Quote
Wheelton Blue Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I'm driving to this, are there any recommendations for car parking? Cheers. Quote

A good player makes the best out of where he is asked to play, TD had a shocking night and shouldn't start the next game. Don't you remember him coming on v the nobbers at home...he had a shocker then too.......talk about rewarding shite performances🤷♂️🤦♂️ Edited April 20, 2023 by Sparks Rover 3 Quote

Last few times I've just driven along Bpool Rd and turned right into Primrose Rd just before you get to the ground,we're coming from Accy so the ground is on the left. You can pay to park at St Gregory's school, but there's parking on that estate. We haven't had a problem although we're all knocking on a bit. We're going early, don't leave it late if you're parking there, it's looking like a sell out. Edited April 20, 2023 by M_B 1 Quote
