I would have liked to have seen Wharton and Thomas but we have to trust JDT. My only concern is that we will only see them if it isn’t going well and so on that basis, let’s hope they stay rooted to the bench and Gallagher / Diaz have their shooting boots on. COYB

I rate jdt and can understand why you would want another attacker in there but the call to leave Wharton on the bench and start Morton ( who I actually think gets some unfair stick on here) genuinely baffles me.

Can someone whose seen Hull play please tell us why this is actually the right call tactically? Please?!!

You're asking on here if the Champions League winner has made the right tactical call?

Hopefully Big Dave from MIll Hill ressies 1987-91 will be along shortly to give a detailed analysis. 🙂

Rewatched the Huddersfield match last night. Wharton was a class above what we’ve seen in midfield all year. Can’t understand why he’s been dropped

It defies all logic to drop Adam from a home game against against the weakest opposition that we have yet to play in our final games.

It makes no sense.

Wow, stunned at that. It's like he's not watching his own team.

How Morton, shite for ages, keeps his place and Wharton, continually class, still doesn't get in, I've no idea. Why we have changed back to the 4-2-3-1 when, aside from two soft goals that were down to individual errors not tactics, the 4-3-3 dominated Huddersfield, I don't know. Why Gallagher gets a start when he hasn't shown enough and wasn't fit enough to come off the bench, not to mention Leonard's excellent cameo, I've no idea. Why Pears keeps his spot ahead of Kaminski after being shite for those two soft goals, I've no idea. I could have expected or lived with any one of these changes, but all of them...is a bit of a fucking joke.

Experience as a Rovers fan over many years tells me one of two things happens when the lineup is this inexplicable and most of us are confused as hell. Either we spring a surprisingly excellent win out of our arse and the manager is vindicated, or we're all totally right and the lineup was imbecilic dogshit. Here's hoping it's the former tonight, because we can't afford the latter and there's usually no middle ground (which we also can't afford).

Bobby Charlton won a world cup as a player but he was a shit manager.

Oh I'm glad his success as a player means he can't possibly make wrong tactical calls as a manager. That's cleared that right up, I'll relax now.

Bizarre justification. ‘Super Frank’ and ‘Stevie G’ both won a champions league and I question their horrendous tactics every week when employed as managers.
(FYI, I like JDT, just not sure him winning a champions league as a player is any justification on his managerial tactics)

Well, let's just hope Big Dave can make it to the dugout for KO or we're fucked.

He's on his way to Stamford bridge to replace Fat Frank who's clueless

We’re all nervous then we saw Gally leading the line 😂

For once, Rovers, just do it the easy way! (or just do it at all)

You ok?

Absolutely fine, are you? You seem to be getting jollies from making strange statements tonight, hope you've not had a mental break.

Maybe not the message board, but I imagine they read all the social media shite.
Was it Murphys missus who was giving it to fans and slagging the club for the shit he was getting? Probably been plenty of others too.

This is the night Gally writes his name in Rovers folklore. I'm just not sure how that will manifest itself!

Very worried we have gone back to a midfield 2 against a team which has drawn 3 and won 1 away from home since they started playing 4-4-2 away.

We could well see all our weaknesses exposed if we don't start fast tonight.

Usually the first 3 minutes tell us whether we are in for a romp or turgid hell.
