Not bad but no goal threat. Burnley won't mind a point but it's no good for us

Change required second half

A point takes us back into the top 6, with no games in hand for anyone - meaning it's in our hands.

Prefer 3 and the points are there for the taking, but a point would be ok.

Solid half. Wingers again the weak point and an area we need to address this summer. Diaz looks league 1 level and Sammie is fuming with him. Travis a bit sloppy at times too.
Adam Wharton - we’d have to confirmed already if he’d played all season (JDT and injuries). He’s utter class, not seen the likes since Tugay and the future is bright if we can at least keep him for one more year.

Finally, for us poor sods who couldn’t go (living abroad) - these commentators are horrendous. Not sure who co-comm is but his head is so so so far up the arse of this average Burnley performance. Called Barnes a ‘character’ after the dive.

Fucking get into them lads!!! Let’s do this

Wharton is like watching a skinny short-haired Tugay. Does he smoke?

Wharton is such a good footballer for 29, let alone 19

Tugay didn’t didn’t even peak until he was about 34.  Imagine how good Wharton will be in 15 years.

Probably at Bayern or PSG, though.

Wharton always think 2 or 3 moves ahead before he's even got the ball. He's for me the best player we've produced since Damien duff

my brother who's a Liverpool fan was struggling to come up with a comparison for him but says the way he takes the ball and moves is like a xavi

Yeah but 3 gives us more room for error in the final 2 games, and more importantly ends that lot's unbeaten run against us.

Playing with some real intensity, they are certainly up for it.

A.Wharton is class and so comfortable on the ball.

If we had signed a striker in Jan who knows where we would of finished this season.

George Hirst has just scored again for Ipswich, he was totally useless for us, can't stop scoring for them.

I think they made the “character” comment when he was winding up JRC actually.  But all the same, if he likes diving and general shithousery someone should introduce him to Diouf.

WBA will have a game in hand. Sheffield U tomorrow and they go above us with a win.

As someone who is just checking the halftime score and hasn't watched, it's amazing watching so many different players being elected as "scapegoat of the half" 😅

There has been a few gripes but don't think anyone has been scapegoated tonight. Few comments on people that could be doing better but that's normal. Plenty to be positive about about that first half.

A few occasions where Wharton has played the perfect penultimate pass to one of the front 4 but then the quality is so low there the next ball is no good (often Hedges and Diaz)

Desperately need 2 wingers and a number 9 to compliment Szmoddy and Wharton next year.

Is there a reason we insist on playing BBD on this right wing? He’s not pressing with the rest of them n would he be better use up top n either Dolan or Tomas on the left who will press? Dolan isn’t a target man n his pressing up top at the moment isn’t producing anything and his best run in form was on the left when BBD was injured. we don’t have a target man or a man to get their head on the end of anything. Like without Gallagher surely BBD would be at better use up top?

Tugay was a full international at age 20.

He was always a very good footballer.

Probably hoping we send Wharton back to them instead of Morton. 🤣

State of their midfield this year Wharton would be starting for them in August.  But if Morton’s turning out at Anfield every week they’ll be lucky to make the Europa Conference League.

Final one at half time - we look so so bad at defending corners. Pears coming for nothing in the 6 yard box and none off the defenders clearing it either.
Ie Coventry home eat your heart out.

I'm not convinced Brereton isn't trying, think we were maybe right, and he's just a bit crap.

Guess we'll find out in about a year after a full season in La Liga.

I'm getting vibes of 'fox in the box' Franny Jeffers.

One purple patch then constant decline.
