Popular Post Bethnal Posted April 25, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 25, 2023 Season over, I don’t see how a team recovers from watching their closest rivals winning the league on their home pitch. I hope Ashley Barnes finds himself destitute in later life. I hope he ends up alone, depressed and utterly destitute. Got to be the among my least favourite people of all time. 15 Quote

Torgeir Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Red all day for Cork. Ref bottled it. Great performance from us, Burnley showed after they scored why they are champions and saw the game out profesionally. Not a lot of options for JDT tonight and it showed when we needed to change things around towards the end. A. Wharton, what a player. 8 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 We are simply not good enough uptop. It only took one bit of quality from them and we’re done. JDT better get f*cking supported in the windows or im done with these clowns at the top 3 Quote
neophox Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 We have had a bit of really bad lick three games in a row...must be really tough mentally this. 2 Quote
bluebruce Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Well, robbed again. Outplayed them, world class goal from their lad out of nowhere with the only shot they hit on target all game, robbed of a stonewall penalty at the death (handball just doesn't seem to apply when we play), scum win the title on our turf as a result of robbery, nothing else to say but that I'm off and on the voddies. Fuck this. 6 Quote
yankfan Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Furious watching this but in the end Proud of the effort. They had one shot in target from one opportunity…a proper finisher and we have 4. clear what we need to bring in this summer…been clear since last summer and the one before that, but there’s enough here to challenge. 1 Quote
Miker Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Feel really sorry for all of the Rovers fans at the ground that have to stomach this. Just absolutely brutal... crucial decisions not gone our way in this past month. The fact that it was a handball by Barnes that wasn't given makes it especially frustrating. 2 Quote
ageoftherover Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 For all the constant moaning about VAR the thing sure does right some injustices. 4 Quote

Nic81 Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Got to give Leonard a go in the next two games. It can’t be any worse. I still have some small hope for the last two games if we do that and we show the desire we did tonight. 2 Quote

Last week Coventry equalised with a handball, this week we were denied an equaliser for handball. I’d like to think luck evens itself out, but that’s three in a row now. At the absolute worst time imaginable. Quote

Certainly an occasion where VAR would’ve seen justice done. Edited April 25, 2023 by martonrover Quote

It's going to be hard for him to forget the clown show that was our January transfer window. How can he have any faith in Broughton or the recruitment team when they couldn't manage simple things like faxing the correct paperwork on time - for two signings no less - and didn't manage to secure a single striker despite knowing since the fucking summer that we were desperately lacking in that area. It's a total embarrassment. 3 Quote
Doaksie Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 You sit the team round in the dressing room and make them listen to our rivals celebrating promotion and league win. That is your motivation for next season. A goal threat in the summer might be an idea Gregg. 2 Quote
davulsukur Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Broughton better be turning up some fucking worldies in the summer because as far as I'm concerned, this season's failure falls straight into his lap 3 Quote

It's also where the difference in quality shines through. A good finished doesn't need 12 chances per goal. I'm not sure when was the last time we scored from a set piece, does anyone know? Quote
